If you're looking for the BEST solicitor in Inverness, look no further than Maureen Duffy from Gowans & Dickson. Mine was an extremely difficult and complicated case, but Maureen worked tirelessly to take it to it's completion, with a positive outcome. Her combined professional approach, and friendly attitude, got me through everything, and for that, I cannot thank her enough. Nothing was too much trouble, and at times when I was confused by all the legal jargon, she was more than happy to explain things, in a way I could understand. Her legal knowledge is second to none, and even at my lowest points, I felt confident in her ability. She truly went above and beyond, and I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. I just want to say a massive thank you to Marc Dickson. I had a case up that he dealt with swiftly with for me. He said he would deal with it straight away. And he did so. In fact he done that well I never even had to go to court as he got the case dismissed on my intermediate due to the amount of lies from the other party. Coming in half way through an extreme lengthy and acrimonious family court case, Joyce Simpson was exceptional in her approach to the situation. On a human level Joyce understood my situation. Professionally Joyce was a positive advocate throughout, explained fully any jargon arising, kept me fully up to date and was willing to talk through offers from the other party fully. My son was represented by Joyce Simpson for almost 2 years. She endlessly fed him false hope and made a string of promises that were not kept. She showed no skill in dealing with his ex partners games and procrastination, this despite advising that there were ways and means to do so. She also forgot critical information time and time again. We gave up at £40,000 otherwise she would have taken everything we had. My honest advice is to avoid Joyce at all costs.
