Gem of a place near to Inverness Airport. Being a non professional the staff were very helpful to me in my choice of wood products, and ready to give advice. Prices very competitive too. Would recommend.

I received a number of lengths of 3'' x 2'' which were so warped they were unusable. CT reluctanly agreed to take them back and supply me with 3 lengths of door frame to replace. When they arrived they were more warped than the previous timber. Joiner shook his head and said to bin them and buy locally. Despite 3 e-mails with photos to Caley timber I have never received a reply regarding this. Will never use this awful company again. Iain Maciver. Isle of Lewis.

I've bought building materials a lot from Caley timber over the last few years and have always found them to be easy to deal with and helpful. As an architect, I'm often asking for unusual materials or something particular and they've always sourced what I need.

May not reflect a normal working day but a bad experience for myself costing time and money! (delivery to Lewis)Ordered timber 2 weeks before delivery. I asked when it would arrive and was told the driver gets on the island on Monday.Monday afternoon I called to see if there's any update on ETA and was told Tuesday, something lost in communication at the first call, okay fine.The driver wouldn't give me an ETA for Tuesday in case it was wrong but not even morning/ afternoon/ later.I had to leave home at 1630 for a commitment.I call the driver when I get back and he says he was calling "all afternoon" (1758 and 1815). A rough ETA would have made all the difference.Got to re source and collect with the trailer now to get the job moving.
