This is a wonderful bookstore in the city of Inverness. The owner Pauline is so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. She is also an author and her books are so fun and cute! She also features other Scottish authors which was fun being a bookworm from the US. A must see when you visit and I love her location out the Market Brae Steps.

we found this book shop by coincidence, walking around in Inverness, and we were very positively surprised !it is really a great place for people interested in languages and looking for books in Gaelic as well as translated in many languages, we even found a Gaelic - French book from Novia Scotia (for Acadians presumably)and most of the Tintin and Asterix in Gaelic as well !

Wonderful shop! A big variety of children's books in Gaelic and other languages. The shop owner was a delight to talk to and you can tell that she really loves what she does. If you're looking for children's books or gifts, this is the place!

Lovely Book Shop for Children.My nephew thoroughly enjoyed the bilingual Nessie themed story books in English and Polish. They come in French, Spanish etc too & would be an ideal gift for younger family members.We also enjoyed following the Wild about Inverness trail - great to get the kids actively looking for the animals on the map and navigating their way round the city centre. Will get the accompanying book for them next time.Highly recommended!

We visited Ablekids Press Shop to pick up our free kids Wild About Inverness trail guide... it proved a fantastic way to start our holiday in Inverness. The trail took us about an hour - and by the end of it we had got to know lots of the area. The guide is full of cool facts and the map was clear and easy to use. The shop owner who created the trail was a wealth of fascinating facts and great to chat to.

I was delighted to come across the Wee MacNessie bilingual books and purchased the first one as a present for my soon to be 2 year old granddaughter in France.It arrived today and I love it.Pauline added a lovely birthday message and so did MacNessie himself!I'm sure I'll be purchasing more very soon for Olivia and her brother too.Thanks for such a lovely book sent with such a personal service.

I loooooved talking to Pauline. Such a sweet lady with an extensive literary and linguistic knowledge. I bought several of her books because they were written and published in Scotland.
