I enjoyed staying here a couple of years ago, so was pleased to bring a family group (seven adults and a toddler) to stay over last weekend.Louise was really helpful even before our stay, confirming rooms, availability of a cot/high chair etc. All things that helped us to plan.Everyone was really kind and helpful while we were there, both the staff and the locals who seemed very happy to include us in their conversations. Comfortable rooms and beds. Great breakfasts and dinners. An excellent pool table. The hotel is in a perfect central location in Dufftown although to be honest you could happily just stay indoors and not go out!A special shout for Lou who was always there and making sure that everything worked for us.Thanks.It was a memorable family visit.Noteworthy details: This is a super friendly place.

Nearby activities: Ideal location to visit some of the Speyside distilleries. Also has a great selection of whiskies.

Back in April I came through Dufftown on a trip of the distilleries with my buddy from Glasgow (I?m from the states) we booked a room here and had an amazing time! We hung out at the bar and met abunch of the locals and had a blast sipping whisky and drinking Ales! Rooms were basic but had everything you needed. The food was great and the chef even came out and chatted with us. Then we had a very good breakfast the next morning before we went on to swim Loch Ness and summit a Munro. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit!!!

My elderly mother & I were attending a funeral & stayed one night. There was no towels provided in our very small room which was almost in the attic! My mother was very anxious about climbing all the stairs but no empathy was shown about her anxieties.Evening meal was fine in a nice setting, however, I was charged £4.50 for 2 small glasses of what, I presume, was tapped water as there was no bottle arrived with the glass!Food & drinks: The cooked breakfast was just OK and very little choice from the help yourself table. Only toffee yogurt was on offer.

A wonderful little hotel. There is also a pub and a restaurant with good food. Everything was very lovingly furnished. Highly Recommended.

Prime location in the middle of dufftown that is in the middle of speyside, perfect for a whisky tour. Rooms ok most with out bathroom in the rooms and the water bresure in the bath was hopeless. Nice bar and resturant in the hotel.

Basic rooms, but clean hotel and decent breakfast. We also got dinner while all other places were closed. The Indian restaurant across the street is also recommended. The biggest disadvantages: no WiFi access at all in room 2, and no heating in the bathroom.

While we didn't stay at the hotel, we made multiple stops at the restaurant on the ground floor while bouncing around Dufftown and surrounding areas. As is par for the course in Scotland, everyone was so incredibly warm an inviting. A lovely neighborhood spot with locals, their kids, and their dogs stopping by for a pint at the end of the work day. We had the Battered Cod & Chips as well as the Beef Stovies. Everything was delicious. Few options of this type in Dufftown, but even if there were far more, I'd still keep coming back to this spot.

I can't comment on the rooms as we weren't staying there but the food and service are excellent.
