Hotel and Food was very good but front of house and bar service could do with improvement.I was traveling for business and was told the ealiest time I could have breakfast was at 7:50. Needing to be on the road again at 8:00, this was far from ideal. The front of house staff couldn't seem to grasp this notion. This was made worse when in the morning, I arrived for breakfast at 7:45 and there was only one other person in the dinning room, with the breakfast staff having no idea why they couldnt have supported myself earlier!

Absolutely fantastic hotel with brilliant staff. Our children wanted to stay in a fancy hotel and chose Kincraig Castle Hotel: we phoned ahead to check they had a family room and the gentleman on reception (on his 2nd day!) was friendly and very helpful which finalised the decision on where to stay! Our room was clean and spacious, even with the camp bed for our youngest. We enjoyed an evening in the Hunter?s lounge which is cosy with beautiful furniture and a good choice of books and games. As the restaurant is closed on a Sunday and Monday evening the staff recommended some local takeaways and provided cutlery and plates for us.Breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh eggs and the children liked the pancakes. We well looked after by the waitress. The children were delighted to find a little highland coo on their beds when we returned. The grounds offered plenty of space for a run around and it?s just a short drive to local attractions. The staff really made the stay, all friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you to you all. Hopefully we will see you again next year.Nearby activities: Plenty to do in the area:Loch Ness toursUrqhart CastleCromarty FirthInvernessAviemoreLandmarkFood & drinks: Delicious!

Stopped here for a couple of nights to attend a local funeral. The Hotel is lovely, very Scottish without being overly twee. Check-in was friendly and quick. I had two rooms reserved and they were both clean, comfy and very welcoming. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. A special mention please to Garry, he was helpful, friendly and his grasp of customer service is exemplary, thank you. Breakfast was very nice, and thanks to the staff for organizing a private table for dinner for all my family. We had a lovely evening and the food was superb (especially the Fillet Steak!)I would love to re-visit at some point in the future. The grounds and location were quite lovely.

Nice place, friendly staff. But if you're hungry, you'd probably pass out waiting on a meal. Every meal took it time to get out the kitchen. After first night, I pre ordered every meal afterwards and they still took their time. Just had to leave without a sandwich that I preordered. After 45mins waiting I had to leave without that sandwich. Only person in the bar mind you. Smh

Excellent service from when we first made contact with hotel to when we arrived there. The staff were incredible, so welcoming and kind. A big thanks to all the staff that made our week in the hotel perfect. We were there for our wedding and honestly could not have asked for anymore. The food at the Kincraig was also amazing, we would definitely recommend and we will no doubt be visiting the Kincraig Castle hotel again.

We had reservations to stay at Kincraig ?Castle? Hotel during October 2023. We paid extra for the estate rooms. Our room was on the third floor and there were no elevators. When we opened the door to our room, the smell of mold immediately overpowered us. There was mold all around the room. There is no way we could stay in the room overnight. The mattresses were worn out. I have included pictures of the mold and one bed before anyone touched it. You can see from the picture that the mattress is simply worn out.We told the front desk about the problems and simply got ?oh?. No explanation other than the black on the window frame is the way the wood aged. I flip houses professionally and know the difference between aging and mold. Aging does not grow in small circles. Aging does not grow on paint. Aging does not grow on bare glass. I mentioned posting a review and the desk clerk then offered 2 of 3 days to be refunded. We went into town and found other lodging and came back and got our bags because we couldn?t stay in that much mold. We all got sore throats in the short time we were in the room. When we did come back, it was later and the windows were all covered with condensation on the inside. This explains why so much mold was growing. After we left, I read the reviews and saw that the owner chastised another reviewer for failing to contact the owner about the problems. I sent an email to the owner and later got a response from info@kincraig and the owner never responded as he said he would on the other review. This place is not a 4 star hotel as advertised. The staff was polite and friendly. The hotel clerk obviously has experience in dealing with disgruntled guests who did not get what was promised. The owner does not respond as he said.Others may have a different experience but the third floor rooms are riddled with mold.Rooms: Filled with moldNearby activities: It is quite a distance from town and any activitiesSafety: The third floor rooms with no elevator would be better if the mattresses were not worn out and there was not so much mold.Walkability: It is not within walking distance of any sites.Food & drinks: We did not eat food since they said the mold was normal aging.Noteworthy details: The owner lies in review responses saying he will speak to people who have problems. His number did not work and he did not respond to emails.

We went for Afternoon Tea & looked forward to it. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. Firstly the savoury items came out - I am a pescatarian & my partner eats everything - this was explained on booking 2 days earlier. We didnt know what was veggie/fish & what was meat as no explanation was given. After the waiter went back and forward 3 times to the chef, the items were taken away the 4th time and separated. We also had to ask for the cream & jam for the scones. The receptionist argued with us on what went on and made us feel terrible. Such poor customer service by her - things do go wrong sometimes but its the way they are dealt with that is important. Will NOT be going back. The whole experience was a fiasco!

We really enjoyed staying here - the atmosphere is very relaxing, the hotel classy but not out-dated. The surrounding nature is beautiful, bunnies hopping arount included. Dinner was very good, service very attentive. Breakfast was delicious as well.

I booked the dome for a birthday celebration and on arrival it was lovely, waitress was welcoming. There was 5 of us and we all had our starters, took about 30 mins to arrive after ordering - all were lovely when they finally arrived, mail meals, all but one was okay - ordered a well done steak and when it arrived it was cooked medium, even though it was offered at the table as a well done steak - problem was once food was served the waitress left so couldn?t flag anyone down to say it wasn?t edible - took 15 mins for someone to come back outside to ask if the food was okay. They took it away and said chef will prepare a new plate, however everyone else had almost finished eating and it then took another 25 mins to come - by this time all the sides we?d ordered for the table were cold and everyone had finished their food ages okay - made it very awkward. A chef should know how to cook a steak, considering the price. Paid over £430 in total - £40 service charge - should have probably complained at the time but felt awkward as it was a birthday celebration. Problem with the done is you are aware from the restaurant and ideally need someone available all the time like you would get in the restaurant for raising problems quicker.
