A lovely little restaurant in Inveraray. We were exploring the countryside there and we came across this restaurant. We were hungry, it was lunch time and we thought we will stop here for lunch. We were expecting Scottish cuisine, but when we saw the menu we were surprised to see Indian food on the menu. We ordered a veg kofta curry, a chicken tikka, tomato shorba and a local beer.
The food was amazing. We were surprised that the Indian food was so good at this place. At the end of the meal, we were stuffed !
The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. There was no outdoor seating that i noticed, but the indoor seating were plenty and cozy.
The restaurant is part of the Rokeby manor. So if you are staying there, you can pop on over to the restaurant for a bite or a pint and have it charged to your room. Also, looks like lunch time is around when one checks into the manor. We had a number of visitors checking in at the time we were finishing up our lunch.
Overall, a definite good stop for a meal when in that area, maybe after a nice long morning hike. The food, then, will be well earned ?

Beautiful stop. A little pricey but the atmosphere reflects it. Clean washrooms and service professional, although forgetfull and slow when I were there. They were busy so just be patient if you show up during the rush hour. Lots of parking! Great haggis too. Haddock fish soup was really good. Good enough for a full lunch for me.

We had a lovely dinner to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The food if flavourful and presented well. It is also a beautiful old building with sheep grazing in a field across the way. The staff were attentive and helpful in choosing what to order.

I?m a picky eater and found the food absolutely great. Interesting combination of Indian and British dishes. Had the most delicious samosas, non greasy, crusty and mildly spicy were quite good. Beef stew was perfectly cooked and seasoned, a true gem. The Cobb salad was fresh, healthy and superb. Great restaurant. Recommended!
