We stayed at The George in May, 2023. Two years later, we are still talking about how much we loved it. I can’t fault the hotel, great overnight stay. Staff helpful and friendly.
The food. Well. Not worth the money. We had dinner and I ordered the langoustine cocktail at the cost of £14 for that £14 I got 4 bits of langoustine, half a cherry tomato that was not fresh it was squishy and a bowl full of iceberg lettuce.... read full comment

Visited the George on Friday the 3rd of January 2025 with family from America. Disappointed was an understatement, the wait staff were however very good and tried to make us happy but unfortunately the food was shocking.
