We stopped at Cafe Bella at Fyne Loch in Inveraray today and were completely blown away. The setting itself is absolutely stunning ? you couldn?t ask for a more perfect Scottish backdrop.
We were in a bit of a rush, but the staff were friendly, attentive, and impressively fast, which made the experience even better. The food? Absolutely outstanding! The fish and chips were golden, crisp, and perfectly cooked ? easily among the best we?ve had in Scotland. For those who don?t eat fish, the chicken nuggets supper was a total win ? comforting, flavorful, and every bit as satisfying as the classic fish.
This is the kind of place where you feel like every detail is just right ? the scenery, the service, and the food all combine for an unforgettable stop. Highly recommend making this a must-visit in Inveraray. We?ll definitely be back!

Service was friendly and the fish and chips was crispy. We particularly like the mozerella cheese sticks and the scampi and chips.

My partner and I got a table straight away, think a lot of people were enjoying eating outside in the sun. We had 2 haddock and chips which were lovely, the fish was really tasty and nice chippy chips. We got 2 soft drinks as well all costing £37 which was very reasonable ! The place was spotless and the guy AJ who was front of house was very welcoming and attentive, really lovely host who made us feel so welcome, great smile and personality....would highly recommend this place ??

Allow me to paint you a picture: You have stomach cramps and the sweats, and the only option is to queue up behind ninety-nine other people in a similar position for a solitary chemical toilet in the baking heat of the midday sun. By the time you get there, the paper has long since been used, the tank is full to overflowing, the flies are everywhere, and the toilet has started to develop a leak. As you sit there in the hot cloying atmosphere, with the effluent soaking up into your shoes, your phone chirps. It?s a social media post from your best friend. They?ve just met the waiter in Cafe Bella. You smile to yourself as you realise that the next thirty minutes or so will be a significantly more charming experience for you than for them.
Avoid.

This place is a complete tourist trap. You would do you and your companións justice by not calling in here. A chippy disguised as a café is already a red flag. All the low star reviews are accurate. Overpriced, over rated chippy. The fish may have been good but they obviously did not change their oil for a while. It is enough to make your stomach turn. There were no veg options at all. Complete con this place. Some people next to us had already left cause they saw it coming. Avoid.

Best fish in chips in Scotland! Ajey was super welcoming and provided great service. Highly recommend stopping in for lunch if you're in the surrounding area.

why the hell does it take 30 minutes to bring me a portion of chips when I am the only person in the restaurant. To add, the waiter rushes around, drops things all the time and is quite upfront and rude despite their little customers. Do not go here, we just wanted coffee and chips and its taking forever, given me time to write this review!

No decaf coffee. Tea hot and wet. Cappuccino same. Noisy waiter shouted at customers. No eye contact. Disappointing.

Most menu items were not available so we all ordered fish and chips which was one of the only options. Server seemed very stressed and rushed and unprepared for a holiday weekend near a popular tourist spot.
Fish and chips were a bit undercooked. Fish batter wasn?t crisp and fish seemed very slightly undercooked and chips were limp.
Service was quick.

4 adults, we all had battered haddock and chips, 2 had mushy peas, 2 had curry sauce. We all had a cup of tea included in the price. The food was delicious and we devoured every bit. AJ was our friendly cheeky chappy host. Well worth a visit.

We had a great time at Cafe Bella when we visited Inveraray last week! AJ was so warm and friendly with a great sense of humour, and made us feel very welcome - as did the other members of staff.
Three of us had haddock and chips, whilst my mother-in-law had her favourite - scampi with salad. AJ suggested we try a slice of cake after our meals. We had Victoria sponge, coffee cake, carrot cake and chocolate cake - all VERY tasty and light without being heavy and sickly.
All in all, everything was great and we shall definitely return next time we are in Scotland!

What a lovely little place. We went to getting fish and chips and the boss opened up the cafe as it was closed (6pm)so that we cold sit inside. AJ gave us amazing service and the food was delicious. We had really good banter. They also welcomed Holly our labrador. Thank you definately be back. Xx
