Lunchtime meals great too...recommend the burger or steak and the desserts and coffee are excellent.

On my God what a find, friendly , great service and the food was delicious and well presented. I had the Tuna baked potato and there was good helping of Tuna with a decent amount of salad.
Best part was the warm fire on a chilly wet day with a hot chocolate

Will stop again fantastic food ?

When we first entered there was a ?wait to be seated? sign but after standing for a good few minutes and making eye contact with the staff several times, to no avail. We had booked in advance so we ended up just walking into the seating area and finding our table, and once we did we noticed that the reservation name was incorrect but close enough.
We were not informed how the service worked so we sat for around 10 minutes before going up to the café counter. When our drinks arrived they came as lukewarm cans, and when we asked if we get glasses the waitress looked confused and actually asked why we would want glasses.
After the food arrived it was less than satisfactory, the scampi was crumbly and dry with very little prawn in it, the chips were solid and difficult to bite through, and the vegetables in the salad were not very good. The tomatoes were wrinkled, the cucumber had no moisture.
All and all I can?t say I?ll be recommending it.
I will give credit to the kitchen staff, they?re handled our food restriction requests very well

Nipped in for a coffee and cake whilst passing. Had a delicious strawberry tart and coffee. Had a lovely chat with the lady behind the shop counter, who was very welcoming and was showing me gift ideas. I think her name was Joanne.

Nice . Bright. Food good but nothing fancy .
Vegetarian options: Mac n chip, cheese toasties or pannin are vegetarian but its not for me., three is usually vegetarian soup and there were some nice vegan cakes.
Dietary restrictions: Some GF options and vegan cak4s were on offer
Parking: Plent parking, close to shop.

I had the Scottish breakfast, but it didn't include haggis, square sausage, or Tattie scones. It did include hash browns. Ergo, it's really an English breakfast. However, it was excellent and very reasonably priced.

genuinely VILE treatment by staff to an ELDERLY MAN experiencing a medical episode.
witnessed an elderly man enter the cafe alone and ask staff for help.
the gentleman was experiencing chest pain and visibly panicked.
it was genuinely disgusting to watch staff laugh at, dismiss and continue to work around this elderly man who was distressed, alone, and in need of medical attention.
one staff member stood behind the gentleman LAUGHING as he began to get visibly upset, while an ambulance was being called.
another staff member proceeded to stand behind the man and raised his voice to say ?ambulance is on its way?, and nothing else.
staff then left the gentleman ALONE in the middle of the cafe at a table. no attempt to comfort or maintain the man?s dignity.
it was another customer that went over to comfort and get contact details for a relative of his. this customer also had to communicate with staff to find the estimated time of the ambulance, as NO COMMUNICATION was made to the elderly man they had left alone.
this is regardless of staff being baristas not medically trained. this man and every person experiencing vulnerability should be met with respect.
the immense lack of human emotion and empathy from staff in this cafe has disturbed me.
