Wanted to get change so I bought something. I explained that I needed change for the massage chairs to the associate but they refused to access their till. They said that they ?weren?t allowed?. I used the self service and then it gave unusable change. I said this to the woman again and they just said ?not my problem, but something else?. Not a very customer focused or customer centric approach. Hopefully management can work with her to support on giving some customer service lessons and how she can improve on the experience that she delivers on behalf of the company. This was 07:30 on Friday 9th July at the small WHS Smith. Should be easy to identify her. Alternatively, just send in an undercover shopper and see who outright refuses to support customers or open their till.

When the self service is all in use and you go to the counter, they just fob you off? how about stop joking around with your colleagues, take some initiative and serve and manage the lines! Useless and rude!Edit: and just sat down and noticed the food I have purchased went out of date two days ago! Nice one guys!!

Needed a security bag for my liquid purchases as I have a connecting flight - staff clueless. Self serve till didnt give me receipt so they were not going to refund me. If possible would give negative score. Boots next door - bag? No problem.

Steven McColl is the best! - I arrived 10 minutes before closure, desperately looking for a power bank. Obviously, I purchased the wrong one... I \\\"dared\\\" to ask him if he could help me to advise whether the bigger power banks are pre-charged - as it was not stated on the boxes - and if yes, would he be able to help me refunding the smaller one I've got? He helped me right away without making me feel uncomfortable for causing such hassle after closure.\\n\\nIf people would only be as kind to each other as he is to his customers (read all the reviews listed here so far), then life would be Heaven on Earth... ?

Here just now asked a woman behind counter if she had a pair of scissors she was very abrupt in saying no but another member of staff gave me loan of a pair to cut open a nicotine patch so cheers mate and tell that woman she has no right to deal with the public and u should know as I've worked with the public since 1985

Really rude woman that works here, definitely would not recommend - normally the staff are brilliant here but I was treated with rudeness and just about told off for not knowing how the self scanner worked. I work at a convenience shop in Edinburgh so I know i?m not being unreasonable. But this WHS smith doesn?t know what customer service is.

All airports are a rip off it's not duty free dont get ripped off you will find your items cheaper in your holiday resort this is rip off britain alright and wh Smith should be wearing masks prices they charge

I rated you 0 for experience at Edinburgh airport just now and would like to explain why:\\n\\n1. There is one self service till and one services till. The woman behind the services till keeps just standing there doing nothing, and referencing everyone to the self service till (while doing nothing and while there is a queue).\\n\\n2. I paid for a bag on the self service till and asked the lady where the bags where. She rudely answered ?there is obviously no bags there so why did you pay for one??.\\n\\n3. She offered a refund at her till (well hello, her till works!), and said in a patronising voice ?Well, If you want your 20 PENCE back, I can process it if needed? (I said yes please, it is my 20 pence).\\n\\n4. When I asked for a till receipt for the refund, she said she could not give me one, all the receipts that printed (she grabbed them) were ?hers to keep for the till?.\\n\\nI will keep an eye out for my refund. Really, really bad customer service.

Steven McColl - absolute life saver. All the restaurants were closed due to running out of food but he left his store open a bit longer so that the remaining passengers coming security through could grab something to eat before boarding the plane. You have a great member of the team there - please reward him for his efforts.
