These experiences are unique where the quality of the seafood could match any top restaurant and it certainly did - and you want to prove the sceptics wrong.This is no ordinary food van Firstly it is located in the picturesque harbour of Helmsdale. The staff are so friendly engaging knowledgeable and passionate about their job The seafood is all fresh and caught by the owner who is a fisherman We had a langoustine salad which was generous reasonably priced at £8 considering how expensive langoustine are A scallop and monkfish skewer was being prepared as we waited and could not resist an image - we were tempted but unfortunately we had made other arrangements further up the coast

The best sea food I?ve ever tasted! I had crab salad and my husband had sea food skewer - incredible scallops and beautiful crab! All service with a smile. Opens at 1!!! We arrived at 12.40? it was well worth the wait!

On our trip exploring Scotland we stopped by Helmsdale Harbour for the afternoon and came across a lovely gentleman. We asked if there were any local seafood joints where we could have lobsters. He said that if were here tomorrow that we could buy everything we wanted from him. Upon hearing that were only here for the afternoon, he offered to come back in a short while with three whole lobsters and huge crab claws and langoustines thrown in. What kindness to hungry strangers. Thank you, Reliant Shellfish!
