We often visit this restaurant, and the atmosphere is always very friendly, and the food is delicious. A special shoutout to Sofia for her excellent service and welcome mood?

I went with a friend for lunch and was really disappointed. Vastly overpriced! We both ordered cullen skink and got no fish in it, it was mostly cubed potatoes although my friend found a big bone in hers. We both ordered caesar salad, mines consisted of what seemed like a whole lettuce with 36 greasy burnt croutons (I counted them) which I left and some grated Parmesan. 6 bits of chicken was extra. Our coffees weren?t hot enough and half the cup was froth. I asked for some salt and pepper (nothing on the table) and eventually got it myself. The waitress was mundane and couldn?t even crack a smile. Our bill came to £68.10!!! Absolutely shocking for a cafe meal. I?ve kept the receipt to remind me of my nightmare lunch and would NEVER eat there again!

Great service, lovely food and very good price. The kids loved their food and appreciated the colouring in. Delicious!

Simple café / brasserie in the tranquil square just 5 minutes from the Clyde Estuary - service is prompt, good coffee, perfect for when you've just used the car park behind

Only had cocktails but they were great. Very nice place to sit for a few drinks. Will return for dinner next time.

I chose to book this in March for a special anniversary meal based on a meal I had on my own previously which was very good. On the evening I went with my wife there was obviously a different chef on because the meal was very sub-standard and the young girls serving didn't have a clue what they were doing. I spent around £150 and did not get good value. I won't be back.

Lovely restaurant. Great service and food. Really nice homemade ginger beer and lemonade for those not drinking, but also a fantastic wine list and beers on. Really good with the kids, too, with a good kids menu. Highly recommended.

Dog friendly, that's the reason for the two stars, it's not the food or the service.
Scamming the soft drinks, glass of coke/IrnBru was half ice with massive chunks taking up most of the space, that amount of ice is whisper close to trading standards reporting territory at £3.50 for a small glass.
Classic Caesar salad was mediocre, the pre-prepped from M&S is much better at half the price, these guys want £12, which is way over priced, adding chicken costs another £6 which is a scandal.
Pan seared squid was perfectly cooked, all THREE bits of it, however it came swimming in chilli oil which would be OK if they gave you maybe a slice of dough bread to mop it up, but nope that's an extra £5 again and a bigger scandal than the added chicken.
Pricing is comical considering the food is middling and the service is just basic, for these prices I expect my cutlery set for me not handed to me in a paper napkin.
Clearly they're trying to capture the Loch Lomond tourism money which which might work in high season but not May.
Overall poor value for middling food and basic service, but if that's what you're ok with just go to Wetherspoons and at least get cheap drinks.

I?m giving this location a 5 star review because the cocktails where gorgeous but the brunette that served me was even better.
