Spacious room full of beautiful antiques and art, very bespoke service and a warm welcome. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. TV and chocolates in the room were very welcome!

Just visited for 2 nights on a works business trip. The lady who runs the place was lovely. Gave us the low down on our room and asked us when we wanted breakfast. Breakfast was more than you could want, cooked full English... Cereal toast croissant fruit tea coffee fresh orange.. Room was clean and bed comfy, shower room and bathroom and access to your own lounge with fire and TV.

We did the tour of the North East 500 and continued on the Westcoast. On the way, we stayed in 13 B&B 's. So lots of possibilities to compare. The lady of the house is a supersympathetic lady, offering her personal living room for the guests (unless if there is football on TV). She knows how to spoil her guests, with an electric open fire in the bedroom, only to make it cosy - it doesn't heat. In the morning she leaves it up to the guests what time they prefer to eat. Everything is possible : full Scottish, porridge...A real open fire and the TV on, so that you can watch the daily news completes the image. The B&B is located in a gorgious victorian house, offering spacious rooms. The tasteful interior decoration is totally adapted to the style of the house. In the bathroom there is a large choice of shampoo and showergel. You can choose between a bathroom with a bath or another bathroom with shower. We chose the one withe the shower, being a bit narrow. And we noticed some dirt on the bottom of the showerdoor. Possibly this is due to the fact that the hostess must be nearly 70-75 years old. But her charms make you forget about this minpoint. And it was the cheapest of all the B&B's. What more can you want??

I really enjoyed the breakfast at Maybank Guest Hotel, even though it was fairly small (as I didn't want a lot of the items), it tasted great, and there was a great variety of food. The beds were really comfortable, and there really was everything you could think of in the room. The lady who runs the hotel gave us really great service, she made sure that breakfast was cooked on time, and that everything was okay for us. However, for some reason, she wouldn't ever speak to me, and she would only talk to my team member who was on the trip with me, which I found strange. However, this was the only negative.

(Translated by Google) We felt very comfortable directly. The accommodation was really impressive. The high ceilings and the beautiful style of furnishing, have promised us right away. Our hostess was very attentive and gave us great food.
