Had a toastie yesterday and it was shockingly poor - a half slice of (orange) cheese and a bit of chewy gammon- I was already out of town or I would have returned it. Toast is and 2 bottles of water £9

I was served by a very polite young lady who talked me through the cakes available and served me at a nice pace it's affordable with a nice atmosphere and well lit interior.

I visited this coffee shop on saturday 8th june .i have a disability walker and got a seat inside .the girl gave me a menu then didnt come back to my table .3 ladies sat at the next table after 5 minutes the girl reappeared and took the 3 ladies order at which point i got up and left .what poor service .so i cant comment on food quality or coffee as i didnt get the chance to order ??

Great location right on the square but the food was pretty mediocre in quality and quantity. Coffee was good and it?s convenient but didn?t really have any soul or comfort.

So my daughter came to take me out for lunch today We travelled from clydebank to helensburgh as we always go to humbles cafe as we like the food and coffee and staff are always friendly We got there at lunchtime and it was busy outside but i am disabled and need a comfortable chair so we went inside. Everyone inside was served and there were 3 empty tables. I use a walker which folds up and we asked for a table? We were taken aback to be approached by a young girl saying she couldn't serve us and I thought it was with my walker but it's not been a problem before. She said she couldn't give us a table as they want to give good service and don't want people saying they were getting bad service if they have to wait ! We thought she was kidding and everyone was served inside and only 2 tables outside were waiting so we didn't mind waiting S we were hungry and I couldn't walk any further as needed a rest But no she refused us so we left very bewildered that you wouldn't let us have one of your 3 empty tables! That's no way to run a cafe We drove on to ardarden farm Estate where their restaurant was very busy but they had 2 tables and we had a beautiful lunch. Sad to see cafes sending people away because they don't want to give bad service! We would totally understand if you had no tables but you had 3! We have also been recommending our friends and family to your place as we thought it was lovely and friendly staff It's put us off driving through to have lunch but maybe next time you might let us in!

First time the experience was great so we returned a second time 2 weeks ago and found the service much slower and when we asked about it the older waitress took offence. Still we decided to return a third time, on Friday, to give it another chance. Initially we were met by a young waitress who was very pleasant and helpful. Took our order. We sat waiting for 20 mins finally teas came but no food. Still waiting another 30 mins. No food. It was just two panini. Other customers came after us; ate and left. Still nothing for us. We noticed the lunch rush reduced with only a few customers left. But still no food for us. Eventually we lost our appetite and left. We will not be returning! Have told all our friends not to go there. There are plenty of other small cafes in Helensburgh. Found the older waitress very rude towards us. Kept blanking us and having loud happy chat with everyone else. She made us feel very unwelcome.
