Love a hair day

I wouldn?t normally leave bad reviews, but my experience here just really wasn?t great. I booked in for myself, my sister, mum and niece to have our hair and nails done on the morning of my wedding. My appointment was 45 mins after theirs so they left first and I was going to follow. Due to traffic coming into Hawick they were running around 20 minutes late. The salon started messaging and phoning me in a bit of a panic. By the time I arrived (early for my appointment) everyone else was there and partway through their treatments and I was met by the salon owner who blurted out, essentially as soon as I walked in, that one of us wouldn?t be able to get nails and/or hair done because there was no time, but I would still have to pay for it all because I had booked the slot. Now that?s perfectly understandable, and I wouldn?t have had issue with it, but for that to be the first thing that?s snapped at the bride as she walks in is really crass, unprofessional and upsetting. My sister then told me after that the same lady had been extremely rude to them when they arrived. My mum was particularly upset by it and it really spoiled what should have been a lovely morning. On top of that I had told them 5 months in advance that I wanted polish (not shellac or gel) and when I came to choosing on the day there were extremely limited options, none of which I liked. If they had so few options they really should have been upfront when I booked. I also showed them months in advance the hair slide I was using, so they knew what it looked like and how big it was, but on the day the girl who did my hair struggled to fit it and it ended up being much higher than I wanted, which made it stick out from my head. I?m giving two stars because the girls who did my hair and nails were lovely and really friendly. But the services themselves weren?t great and the experience on arrival was just awful and, I?m sorry to say, really spoiled my morning.Service: Bridal hair
