Beautiful hotel and amazing food especially the breakfasts. Staff were all friendly and helpful for our week long stay.

The room was spacious and clean but a little bit noisy, we could hear the person in the room above us moving around through the night. Nice place but maybe get an upstairs room or a room in the main hotel.

This place is great!!We had the best meal here tonight, delicious dishes and beautiful presentation, and the deserts were 5 star!!The service we received from the staff was first class, would highly recommend the ulbster arms.Can?t wait to return.

Had a lovely Christmas meal here - my steak was cooked perfectly, delicious - our waitress Holly was fab and so friendly ? - seating area was was lovely and cozy, couldn?t have had a better place for our works dinner. Thank you, looking forward to coming back again soon!

My review involves the restaurant. I found the menu to be rather limited, and felt that I had to settle for something I would have not ordered otherwise. The roasted vegetables were awesome! But the rest of the meal was just OK.The evening was super busy and the waitress confused our order. Mine was correct, but my husband, who had ordered a cheeseburger, received a roast beef dinner, which he then had sent back, so we ended up eating out of sync.To be quite frank, there aren't many places to enjoy a meal in this area. The place was extremely full, and I did not really enjoy the experience, despite making an effort. But if you enjoy beer with a hamburger, then I'm sure you'll do fine.

Stayed in the Ulbster Arms on B&B for 2 nights while touring by motorcycle . Beautiful old hotel in a quiet village sitting beside the River Thurso , lovely decor inside and bedroom was good size clean and very comfortable We ate in the bar both nights and I must say the food was excellant , as was the breakfast with a great choice , the staff was very friendly from the the receptionist to the young bar staff , the cleaning lady not forgetting the 2 ladies in the breakfast room asking our plans for each day .The hotel has a great car park to back of hotel with an area to sit out and enjoy a drink . I would definately stay here again if in the area and highly recommend it.
