Generally very poor customer service. Long waits in queues. Staff don't really stick to Covid protocols. Looks like BOS are running this branch down.

I have been a good customer at the branch for many years. I wanted to exchange 2x £20 notes for 8x £5 notes, to be told by the 'greeter' that this could not be done. She was unable to give a valid reason. Incredulous, I went a few yards along the road to RBoS, where I have never had an account. There, I explained the situation to their greeter who said "Certainly sir." and directed me towards a teller. A trivial incident but it displayed a very disappointing poor attitude to a customer, in stark contrast to a rival bank. HBoS, you need to get your act together if you want to keep your customers.

Made an appointment for this morning. The consultant advised that I needed to bring along my identification and proof of residence. Unfortunately, he didn't specify that they only accept certain types of proof of residence, so due to their incompetence, nothing could be done. What a complete waste of time.

Closing time on Saturday is 12:30 instead of 1 pm so this should be updated
