I don?t normally leave reviews but this place should be avoided at all costs unless you like terrible disrespectful service. At least the beer is semi average, but the serving staff is beyond rude. If we didn?t approach the bar, we would?ve been standing there in an awkward game of a no blink contest. Everyone looks depressed here too like they made the same mistake we did by coming to a ?famous? pub. Shape up or ship out as my ma would say.

Such a great restaurant and inn! Food was lovely, traditional pub food. The owners were so friendly and kind and very personable. Servers were great, and the atmosphere was very quaint and cozy. Location is perfect, as there is plenty of parking due to the outlets across the way, in addition to the in parking lot.
In conclusion, this place should be on your list of your planning to go to gretna, or traveling through on your way to Scotland.

We called for a bite to eat after visiting the Devils Porridge museum. Very friendly staff and lovely food. Good sized portions at an excellent price and served ith a smile. We will come again if we are in the area. Much preferred than your large chain restaurants.
The outside is beautiful and in full bloom, the inside is of a traditional pub with many original features.

We visited The Gretna Inn with friends who had just got married. We wanted a meal somewhere else other than the Smiths Hotel. We were not disappointed. We had a great meal at the Gretna Inn and met some fantastic staff. One of whom came outside and took photos of us four. Thankyou for your great hospitality . From Lin and Roger ( bride and groom. And Sally and Ron . From the Isle of Wight. P.S do you paint the grass up there. It's not that green down here.?

Looks great outside, went into the back door to rear bar,confronted by a very drunk local that decided to then tell me I was punching above my weight with the woman who I was with,which happened to be my wife and ask if I was still pumping her, to then turn aggressive to defend where he lives,still took bar staff longer than a week in jail to come and serve and to not intervene with the drunk idiot,I presume we walked in through the wrong door.
