One car charging when we got there, said wasn't getting a good speed 10kw if that.Tried all 3 of the others, couldn't get any of them to work. Said it didn't have enough power to charge.Used the ones within the services, worked first time no problem.

Short wait for one of the 4 spots. Some initial connection problems but quickly resolved. Charge dropped very low on a couple of occasions and discontinued post 75% as so slow (sub 10Kw). But overall, not a bad experience.

Ionity has a really high rate which is stupid. If you can go to another I would. There are only 4 spaces and they are placed awkwardly. Really far from the services to get a food/snacks. Get charged and get out.

The new style chargers did not work. No one answered the 24 hour help line. Fortunately had enough charge to use a point at the main services.Issue details: Charger would not connect to the car. I had used several of the Ionity charging stations on my way south, but encountered the same problem at two on the way back up the road.

You have to use the IONITY app to charge your EV. Doing so was easy and direct. Charging is superfast. It's in a good location off the motorway

Had to wait 10 minutes for a car to leave one of the 4 chargers. Short walk down to the service. Easy to find and access.

Visited here on my way and when returning from Scotland. I hit 150KW no problem but others were not so lucky. The RFID doesn't work here so you will need the app. Keep an eye on your car app as the chargers can fail.

Second time using Ionity at Gretna services, once again an 'ok' experience. Last visit 6 months ago, one charger was not functional, yesterday same charger not working. A queue developed with 4 cars in total waiting to get on a charger. Once you're plugged in though, they do work well, peaking at 215kW but averaged 140kW(ish) then down to 90 nearing 80%.The layout is horrendous though to get in/out of the bays, with very little in the way of spaces to park to queue. But 18%-80% in 28 mins, just time to use the toilets at the BP station next door and grab a quick drink. All in all, not bad, but double the number of chargers and improve access and it would be even better.

The 2x2 format and general entry/exit and the location of the space around the chargers make it difficult to queue and very easy for somebody to jump the queue. Due to this it is a very stressful experience. There are two clearly walked footpaths leading to the caravan park and Gretna Green services (not sure what the previous reviewer was on about). Also why is one charger constantly not working!!!!3 chargers to service 2 directions of a motorway!!!But I guess there's always the bank of 12 180kw Applegreen chargers (@78p/kw), so if you don't have a preferential Ionity plan these could be useful if not stupidly expensive.

3 working one still broken. All takes at 11am when I was here and same at 6pmWe need more Rapid CCS. Demand is much bigger than what is available here in UK. Still thank you IONITY for fast charging.

Whilst the chargers are fine, there are some major problems1) there are 4 bays in a 2x2 format making it difficult to queue and navigate the chargers.2) biggest complaint: if you charge here you can't access Gretna Green services and amenities - there is no safe footpath to walk there. So you are stuck with the limited BP services only. Sit in your car and wait?3) only 4 chargers. Surely for such a busy station you should have 8+.

The layout of the charging point isn?t practical, where 4 cars came in with different charging site if the cars, is nightmare to get in and out of the place, it doesn?t help with the kerb build in which limiting the flow of the vehicles. The waiting parking also limited. The whole charging place is not practical and not user friendly at all

Very expensive nowadays to charge your EV. Same price as Petrol if you factor in mile per galon vs miles per kW. So I don't see the point of eV any more.
