The hotel was clean & staff were especially friendly. The twin room was clean, comfortable & well organised. From a coffee machine in the room to nice toiletries in the en-suite. A good spread of local information & an iron with ironing board easily accessible. We would definitely return if we were in the area.

This was a last minute booking as we just wanted to nip over the border to Scotland for dinner. But we really enjoyed eating in the restaurant, the food was excellent and the service was prompt and very friendly in a relaxing and welcoming environment.

Due to an broken ankle I was unable to travel, I informed the hotel as soon as I could and received an unsympathetic response about taking out travel insurance. I'm glad I never got to stay there if this is how they treat guests.
