Beautiful! Friendly professional staff, nothing is too much trouble. Stunning room, large with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Clean & well presented. We had a sofa & 2 chairs in our room & a bath & a shower!

An absolutely stunning find. We were a party of 30 cyclists and they couldn't do enough for us. We had booked out the whole hotel with another 4 others staying in another hotel, they were happy to provide dinner for everyone. Right from the start they were very quick to respond to emails if we had any queries. The hotel were more than happy to allow us to store our bikes in one of their function rooms. Dinner and breakfast were included in our package and certainly worth the cost. We arranged to leave our vehicles in their car park until our return. We rode over to the east coast staying overnight before returning to Gretna the next day. The whole staff were incredible, the rooms were large and furnished in a period style. If you are planning on a cycle trip in this area, it literally is on route u2,you could no better than to stay here.

What a lovely small hotel, right on the Scotland/England border(its actually in England) beautifully decorated rooms, with lots of old pictures of Gretna & surrounds. Our bedroom, and our friends, were quite large, with a small sofa & 2 armchairs in each room, bathrooms had both baths & a separate shower cubicle. We stayed on a DBB deal, and the food was to quite a good standard, plenty, and piping hot, and all drinks were very reasonably priced. The hotel also has beautifully manicured gardens all round, and a large outdoor seating area. All in all, really good.

Such a beautiful place so well appointed just over the scottish border in England. Amazing rooms with lots of space and they thought of everything. Finally a shower we can fit into. Restaurant was great, such a choice of great food. Wonderful service and the decor for rooms and hotel is just beautiful. My new saying is ........ Finally found the best hotel in Scotland in England....... Cant recommend it enough. 10 out of 10.

The staff from arrival to checkout were excellent. The dinner was 5? as was the full English breakfast ?. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

A lovely hotel, the garden outside has clearly been well maintained and cared for! It's got a lovely seating area.
The breakfast is very tasty too!

We were invited to a wedding here and thought everything was superb! Staff were extremely helpful, organisation and service were excellent and the food was lovely. Had a great time!
We only saw a couple of rooms our family were staying in, including the Bridal Suite and they looked great.

My son Ewan was married on Wednesday 21st May 2025 at the Anvil Hall, Gretna.
The Chase Hotel provided a perfect wedding Reception for all who attended.

Went for a drink and an ice cream on a very hot day. Rather run down place with an 80s vibe. Beautiful gardens but we couldn?t sit in them as there was no shade and little seating, and there was a small group of people on the small patio playing 70s rock at high volume on their Bluetooth speaker. Altogether a weird vibe!

I really like when I have to stay in the Gretna area.
The Gretna Chase! You can't get better value for money! The staff are excellent, couldn't do more to help you. The food is always good, room 's very comfortable.
