The shop is a bit over priced for its location. It appears to be placed more to fit the local high-school kids rather than the comunity it serves, which is a shame with this being the areas late shop. The post office shouldn't be there to be honest, stores like this are why i beleive post offices are being sadly fazed out. The staff seem affronted if you ask for a post office service. Although the store is registered and has a P.O counter. They seem very friendly with their immediate friend group of locals but make those who aren't known as well feel rather uncomfortable and the staff don't have very good customer service skills. The owner can often be seen in store, and although, often seeming ambitious, acts obnoxious infront of customers and doesn't hold his staff to a good standard of equality focused customer service. Could benefit very much from a reformation coach. Furthermore they aren't very compliant with their paypoint contract, which is something I've flagged. It appears the store only take the payment transactions that are convenient to them/or when they are convenient to them. And are often know to point blank refuse pay ins and especially cash outs which has been noted by our comunity panel to be a major issue. Furthermore stamps are a known issue in this store. Although should be available at the "Post office" often aren't and patrons are directed to rejoin the rather uncomfortable queues to check if there are any in the tills, which you are then told you would have to make a purchase to open the till to find out as they can't open the till to check, and bare in mind this is a registered post office. Also the advertise Nisa/CoOp deals, which on an observation of 10 visits over 6 weeks, of an advertised deal, on each of these visits. The deal was not available for 9 out of 10 of them.

Hand day for all that you didn't get in town

Quite expensive and the staff could do with some customer service training. They seem to be trying to do to much in a small space and therefore don't have much of a selection and quite often don't have things that are advertised. Prices are missing on lots of products too.

Booze, sweets and snacks aimed at the young team, not exactly Waitrose but can be handy if you're in a hurry.Worst car park in the world, difficult to get in and out, the staff usually take up the two disabled spaces at the door so if my wife wants to go in it's usually difficult for her. It's 4th or 5th choice of all the local shops.

Carpark is very small and the entrance is very narrow.

Great wee community shop has everything. If u don't see it ask and will get in. Bonus has post office too. Staff lovely and welcoming. Only gripe is when loads school kids at lunchtime congregate right outside and for some can be daunting. But best wee local shop in braeside n Larkfield. Xx
