Room nice very small bathroom it looked like the ceiling in the bathroom was going to fall at anytime. TV was so small you needed binoculars to watch it. Our caravan tv is bigger, Food was ok if you like canned carrots and powered potatoes
Breakfast was nice

Stayed here on a tour, and it was horrendous. No hot water in the whole wing where our room was located. I was prepared for old but the mold and mildew on all the fixtures was gross. Cob webs hanging in our dingy room. Just unclean. Needless to say we got no sleep that night and I recommended the tour company drop this hotel from their future tours.

It felt like you were in a murder mystery set in a creaky old hotel - but it was real life.
The first issue came when 2 days before my arrival they double charged me for my booking. After various calls/emails/direct conversations I finally got my money back a week later.
Parking was chaotic - there?s a large wrap around driveway but it is a bit of a free for all of leave your car wherever.
When we arrived the staff were friendly, although gave us the wrong directions to our room so we had to do an additional maze of hallways. The room was a fair size and the beds were comfortable - although very strangely made up: the bottom sheet barely came to the head of the bed, leaving the mattress exposed, but there was an extra 3ft of sheet at the foot of the bed, so we had to remake them ourselves.
Our room was right on a landing next to a staircase and had absolutely no soundproofing to the horrendously creaky floorboards and stairs, as well as the sounds of the Icelandic coach tour group lugging their suitcases down from 6am.
The bathroom was an experience- it was basically a small cupboard with a sliding door that didn?t fully close, so for a twin room you better hope you?re very close with your room buddy. The shower itself was an electric shower, the pressure wasn?t great but the temperature was fine. Sadly it was in some kind of plastic coffin with no light, so it felt a bit claustrophobic, glad I?m only 5ft 5. The shower curtain was also hooked on in a way that meant it didn?t fully slide open, so you had to awkwardly manoeuvre in and out.
Breakfast was pleasant, attentive staff and the most modern fixtures and fittings in the building.
Overall the hotel is very dated, but it was a comfortable bed for the night and was the cheapest available we could find in the area.
Finally - if you?re after a pint, go to the Garth hotel bar down the road as a pint of lager was £1.2
0 cheaper than at the Craiglynne bar.

Charlie was the high light of out stay here.
Breakfast is traggic.
Diner the bare minimum.
Rooms outdated.
No housekeeping or refreshing towels when you stay here for 3 days.

This is a beautiful hotel. The foyer, bar and resteraunt are lovely. The staff are really amazing, very helpful and friendly. The rooms are a little dated but are very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast which was a, really good, buffet style breakfast. The town is lovely, it has great walks and cycle routes and has lots of places to eat and drink. Grantown on Spey is a great base to explore the highlands. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here.

I booked a stay at the Craiglynne Hotel a month in advance, but just 1 day before our trip, 3 days before our stay they cancelled my reservation without offering a suitable alternative. This completely ruined my travel plans, as we were touring Scotland and had arranged to stay in a different place each night. By the time they informed me, it was impossible to find anything else for the same price, especially at such short notice. Extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. I would not recommend booking here unless you?re prepared for the risk of your plans being ruined last minute.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with a nice front garden. They have a spacious rest room where the reception is located as well, and the guests can just sit, rest and talk or play board games. The room was spacious and clean. Some of the furniture is old , that?s true, but it is functional and clean, that?s more important. The bathroom was easy to use and clean, they also have some kind of metallic towel rack that can be turned on and used to dry the towels or a wet piece of clothing if it?s needed. The carpets look a little dirty, but this is an issue that all hotels that use rugs meet. At least the rugs didn?t smell badly like in other hotels that I had to use. The staff was nice, they answered to all our requests, except during the breakfast we felt a little rushed to finish. They have a schedule for breakfast, and the guests have around 30 min to finish their breakfast. However, it?s a little difficult to do so in time when you are with little children. I had to spend around 10-15 min just to bring the food and drinks for my family, and when I sit down and started to eat, I couldn?t enjoy the food very well because I already had to leave. But all in all, it is a nice place that I would consider as an option for future vacations.

Having paid extra for a superior room we were extremely disappointed to be given a room in the attic with no TV , 3 pillows on the double bed with a cushion behind one to make it appear like 4 and a damp patch on the wall (a very basic room )
The menu for dinner was very poor and it was only when we asked for a vegetarian option we were given a different menu which was a bit better .
The most disappointing aspect of the overnight stay was that apparently there was no management available on either the Saturday night or Sunday morning to discuss our grievances which I find hard to believe so I ended up £40 out of pocket thanks to expecting a better standard of room . Very very poor service

The stay was great. Everything went smoothly, clean room, great breakfast and lovely staff.
Parking was also super easy and the location is great for anyone who wants to visit the distillerys of Speyside. Great choice to be in a quieter and more laid back place than Inverness or Aviemore.

My parents stayed here overnight, and when we met up with them in the morning they were disappointed. They said the cooked breakfast was a not enjoyable, the room was unfortunately not very clean, couldn?t sleep due to loud banging sounds. They have also mentioned the parking was not very good as they struggled to get in and out the car due to the lack of space.

Awful.
On the outside it looks nice and typical but, on the inside, it is horrible.
The general spaces dirty, soulless and poorly furnished.
The rooms with poor heating, deteriorated furniture, dirty carpet, impossible bathrooms, a shower that no one can regulate and with a minimum water flow... In short, a real disaster.
Some rooms are renovated, but they are the least. The hotel is from the 19th century, and it seems that it has not been touched since then.
There are rooms without an elevator, to which you have to go up (suitcases included) via the stairs.
The disgusting foods. The service is fast, but they are very unfriendly.
In short, a hotel to avoid.
I attach photos, which demonstrate what I say.

To flee. Beautiful from the outside. Dated interior. As for the room we had, it was a disaster (dirty, very damaged window, crumbling bathroom ceiling, broken shower screen) Very nice dining room. Very limited breakfast (no pastries, fried eggs, yogurts). The receptionist was as friendly as a prison door. I will report to our tour operator
