Absolutely terrible pub. Staff were rude and completely disinterested in customers. He just stood there until we asked for a particular drink, poured it the. Waited for the next one.
The wine my wife had was disgusting. So we took it back, again no reaction until about 10 minutes later he came and said I could open a new bottle but I have several open already and the new one is a higher quality one.
We said. We would like our money back and begrudgingly we got it.

I HAVE UPDATED PLEASE READ ALL. Another fine meal in this great establishment every year we come here and it never disappoints. Great food, good ale, friendly service and even a wee treat for the dawgie. Be very rude to pass this place by and not stop for even just a snack......Had to rewrite my review... THIS PLACE HAS GONE .
I have enjoyed coming here and having amazing food and drink at all times of the day and evening but here we are its now a fish n chip bar or restaurant that you need to book and only a handful of tables. Fish n chips on night 1 £17. Expensive and small fish and lots of chips. Booked restaurant for night 2 expecting lobster or fillet steak as billed outside and online. Menu arrives and informed no lobster atm. Going for fillet steak...... ahhhh... no fillet on menu. But ok sirloin will do i guess. Anyway £34 for sirloin with fries, a mushroom, bunch of sweet tomatoes. Staff courteous and polite but capitol radio almost in the background adverts and all while your eating.... sorry tell us when you get it sorted because its a wreck at the moment

We stopped here while driving across Scotland. We waited about 45 minutes to an hour for our order of fish & chips, ?chicken fillet? and a fried snickers. The fish & chips were great, but the chicken fillet was a bowl of about 25 chicken nuggets? Not sure why that?s advertised as a chicken fillet. At that point we were hungry enough to eat anything. The fried snickers was pretty sad, but we didn?t expect much at that point. The kitchen staff looked like they were very overwhelmed and understaffed, so I think they were just trying their best. Pictured is the fried snickers ?

Food was OK - but the service wasn?t. Tables were dirty, not cleared, salt and ketchup empty, no forks or knives left?

We always find Scots wonderfully warm and welcoming, until yesterday 3 august. At Glencoe Gathering, we were told (without a hello) to sit on the left. When I said we were five, the young man in the white shirt sighed like I?d just asked him to move Ben Nevis.
He ?found? us a table, threw the cutlery into the holder as if it had personally insulted him, and when I walked to the bar to place our order, he cut me off mid-sentence to demand our table number, for the very table he?d just set moments earlier.
We left before ordering. As I told him on the way out: ?Are you always this friendly, or just having a bad day?? Judging by his puzzled look, I?m not sure he understood the question? or the problem.
If you enjoy being made to feel like an inconvenience, this is your place. Otherwise, walk on.

We visited today and had absolutely delicious (freshly made!) pizza - I was also so full so brought some home and that was no problem at all.
The service from the team was second to none, they were genuinely funny, friendly, and all over just brilliant. I would go back purely for the banter from David and Dylan.
Absolutely stop in here for pizza folks you won't regret it.

Writing Failte (Irish and presumably Scottish Gaelic) for welcome above a locked door and door with a no entry sign should have been our first clue. Get in to the place, utter chaos of queue up, but have a table number, come and get your own food but table service for drinks. Confused. Then £39 for a barely cooked fish and chips and a very average pizza. Best avoided.

We went to the fish and chip restaurant the food was good but the price was really expensive for what we got, no condiments every bottle was empty not even vinegar in a fish and chip shop is a joke.
The service was very poor can't even blame the restaurant for being busy because it wasn't. Ordered drinks once we got attention of waiting staff was told drinks would be with us shortly they never arrived, had to complain and get a refund for no show drinks.
Will never return.

Bizarre experience, nothing on the website about needing to book the bistro and only fish and chips in the other restaurant. But only a couple of tables available in the bistro. Then an empty bar with talkative staff over sharing, and numbered tables, but not for food, and then a separate restaurant associated with the fish and chips. There was seeming inconsistency, with other tables getting served drinks but we were told to get them ourselves from the bar. No vegetarian options available, a cryptic warning that chips were very big but no real guide as to what a sensible portion was, leading to waste. Some of the serving dishes still had washing up liquid in and they only put it back when they caught us staring at it. The fish and chips was ok in itself except for the vegetarians, but there was no salt on our table and we had to go hunting, and had to ask for more cutlery as the table holders hadn't been refilled. There seemed to be no management and a general resentment/awkwardness about serving us.
Very expensive to boot.
One of the worst experiences I can remember.

Pizza, Pints and a Waistcoat: A Solid Showing with a Dash of Charm
We first wandered into this spot earlier in the day, just after the kind of stroll that demands a pint. What we found was not only a reasonably priced drink but also a genuinely warm welcome from a chap in a black polo shirt who clearly knows how to make people feel at ease without trying too hard.
Fast forward a few hours and, lo and behold, the same man has reappeared?now in a waistcoat, no less?giving off the faint whiff of someone who?s taken the trouble to look professional, even when the shift is nearly over. Despite it being dangerously close to closing time, they were kind enough to serve us, which deserves a nod.
The pizzas? Solid. The Highlander, loaded with haggis and black pudding, isn?t going to change your life, but it?s enjoyable in the way a comforting, slightly greasy late-night takeaway can be. Rich, savoury, and just unusual enough to be memorable without veering into novelty.
My companion went for the Beehive?a jalapeño and pepperoni number, made without cheese. It held its own surprisingly well, the absence of dairy not leaving it totally joyless, which is more than you can say for most cheese-free pizzas.
The staff are working hard and probably could?ve done with an extra pair of hands. Still, they kept their cool and made sure we were looked after.
In short: a decent pizza, friendly service, and a little extra charm in the form of a waistcoat after hours. No fireworks, but certainly a worthwhile stop if you?re nearby and hungry.
