Don't expect good customer service here!
After waiting over 40 minutes for a simple lunch order, I sought clarification about the delay.
The behaviour of the bar staff was dismissive. They walked away while I was actively trying to enquire about my order, offering only poor excuses in response. One member even waved his hands at me in an exaggerated manner while speaking, and when I calmly asked him not to do that, he simply replied he was ?explaining? things?though how that gesture was meant to help, I truly don?t know. Watching other guests?who had placed their orders well after mine?receive prompt service, some even having their food kindly delivered to their tables, only added to the frustration. In contrast, I was told I?d have to wait until my table number was loudly shouted out. It felt needlessly degrading and completely at odds with the kind of service I?ve previously experienced here.
I then approached the front desk/reception to seek further help. The young woman there was courteous and asked me questions . However, a male staff member?whom I assume holds a supervisory role?intervened abruptly. He did not ask what had happened, showed no willingness to listen, and instead barked at me:
?Do you want your food or a refund??
He made no attempt to deescalate the issue appropriately or offer any meaningful resolution.
His response was blunt, aggressive, and devoid of the professionalism I would expect.
After he stormed off, the young woman quietly murmured an apology under her breath, as though she didn?t want him to hear. Her embarrassment was palpable, and it was clear she felt caught between a difficult situation and a lack of support. I appreciated her kindness?but she was left alone to manage the aftermath of a completely avoidable interaction.
This isn?t just about my experience. It?s about the kind of atmosphere we?re offering to visitors in our beautiful country.
If you are willing to be treated badly,for the pleasure of the beautiful views and ok food.... this is the place

We stopped at the Clachaig Inn during a family trip to Glencoe and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with a real Highland charm. Staff were great, really friendly and chatty - created a very welcoming atmosphere.
We didn?t eat there but the food looked hearty and delicious - the lounge was very busy throughout the day, which speaks for itself.
A great selection of drinks, enjoyed a few Devil?s Staircase myself. The location is unbeatable, surrounded by stunning scenery and close to plenty of easy trails for families - the play park outside was a hit with the kids.
A perfect mix of comfort and character. We?ll definitely return next time we?re in the area!

We went in for food after a day on the hills in Glencoe,the food was nice however fish and chips was more like fish and chip and for what you got they are well over priced . Not even close to the storehouse fish and chips on the black isle that's almost half the price and a whole different level of quality

My husband and I visited Clachaig Inn during our Honeymoon. The Inn was a fantastic staging place for any nearby hiking in Glencoe. The hot breakfast was delicious and very filling for a long day of hiking. Boots bar and their selection of beer on top was a welcome sight at the end of the day. I only hope whoever purchases this place maintains its integrity and charm.
