I struggled for years with incorrect or ineffective prescriptions, which made it difficult to find the right lenses for my specific vision issue.
Recently, I had an eye exam with Áine, who proved to be not only highly professional but also a dedicated optometrist.
Thanks Vision Express, for the excellent service ? thanks Áine & David, for your outstanding care. In my opinion, you're the best Vision Express store in Glasgow!

Such a friendly, efficient and professional service from all staff that I encountered on my visit to the Vision Express Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow branch on Wednesday 20 August 2025. I managed to arrange an eye examination appointment at very short notice. The optician put my mind at rest. I recommend Vision Express and especially this branch.

Never EVER again. AVOID if you're on welfare because they are prejudiced.Went in on Monday accompanied by a carer. I was taken through for the IOP (pressure in the eye) test and one other thing by a very polite but utterly CLUELESS young man. Then, I was VERY BRUSQUELY told that I was ?too early? for my appointment by a week by an ABSOLUTE Karen. No further explanation offered, instead SNEERING and CONDESCENDING questioning like she had never worked with a WELFARE patient before. I told her to forget it.When I got my current glasses from the branch at the Fort 2 years ago, they could not have been more helpful. I explained everything VERY carefully and requested that they include that I'm special needs and require a chaperone AND that I am a MIGRAINE sufferer. I don't care if it was a bad day, a Monday, a week from Christmas or whatever the horrible woman's excuse was? you do NOT treat anyone with that level of contempt, Period! If that's your attitude with a vulnerable welfare patient, I would HATE to see your approach to someone LESS capable. We left without completing the appointment, I will not be returning or booking or even visiting another branch again until the staff are retrained to deal with SPECIAL NEEDS/Welfare patients properly? I sent them a strongly worded email, to which they have conveniently not responded!I am looking into taking my custom to Specsavers because the way I was treated on Monday is absolutely disgusting and 100% wrong. Furthermore, I fully intend to take this much, MUCH further.PS I already filled out your feedback form. I did so on Monday as soon as I got home from the "appointment" and I have yet to receive a response. I will be speaking to Trading Standards about this. I am DISGUSTED.

I handed in 2 boxes of contacts, 60 pairs to change from my previous prescription to my new one, and the person I spoke to said that it was possible, and I'd get them within a week. And now it's been a month and a half, and still no update, I called in and I would have to repurchase the 2 boxes of contacts without even being refunded for the previous boxes of contacts at least. So I wouldn't recommend for anything, except just the eye test, get your glasses from iolla or any other place.I don't understand why I have to pay twice, and not even get a refund.

Booked "contact lens free assessment and trial", turned up a couple of minutes in advance, made myself known and spent the next 15 minutes waiting on a chair as requested while staff melted away one by one, leaving sole member occupied with another customer. What a waste of time.
