Over rated for food although ambience quite good.

We had a party of 10 and it seemed like, because of that we got slow and inattentive service. Super slow on drinks order to kick things off and generally pretty sloppy thereafter. Food was OK but service let the legendary UB down on this occasion.

Booked dinner for a major celebration. Thought this was the type of restaurant one books for major life celebrations. Sent message ahead to let restaurant know was a special occasion. Arrived to no acknowledgement. Told on arrival no tasting menu available. Turned out restaurant was closing for renovations the next day. Upon ordering every course were returned to to let us know that what we had ordered was no longer available. Starter, main and desert had all run out. Toilets were leaking/flooded both male and female. A staff-do was clearly going on at the same time as main service. Not the floor staffs' fault in any way, but the management must hold their punters in extreme disregard to treat them in this manner. Next time you need to celebrate a major family event there are plenty of other Glasgow institutions that will treat your booking with the respect it deserves.

Had celebratory drinks in the downstairs bar on the 1st. The bartender with a moustache (I apologise for not remembering his name) was so welcoming and friendly and really made the occasion feel special. The cosmopolitans were also delicious and balanced.

This gem ? on Ashton Lane is a must for anyone visiting Glasgow. Bar/Restaurant combo with great food and atmosphere.
Ashton Lane is a huge vibe for the students and most places cater for that. However, an added plus about this establishment was the calibre of clientele the place attracts, from young adults/working professionals to the wise old men and women.
Just simply a really great place!

Jewel in Glasgow?s crown. Staff, food, drinks and atmosphere are 10/10. cherry on top was Laughlan with the wee dram on our way out.

Cute place. The food is decent - elevated, pub-style food - but nothing to write home about. The veggie haggis was the best thing we tried. Service isn?t great. We sat with empty drinks and no water for most of our meal, despite the restaurant being empty.
