It's just like any basic travelodge hotel, room was small but okay. Not much variety at breakfast but good enough.

Great location with discounted rate for parking in multi story opposite. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Friendly helpful staff, especially Ludmila who is a real credit to this hotel. We didn't have breakfast but did have our dinner in the bar cafe. Food was good and service was excellent. Will definitely stay here again and happy to recommend.

Very very clean, well done to the cleaning team!Decent place to stay, rooms have all you need, staff are attentive and friendly. It?s obviously not the Ritz but it?s a perfectly fine place to rest one?s head ?

The location is very close to a lot of restaurants, which is why we chose it. We also like to walk, so we didn't mind strolling around Glasgow while we were there. We stayed for 8 nights, and had absolutely no issues. It is very cheap, but you get a lot more than what you pay for in my opinion. Clean bed, clean rooms, clean shower. Although the soap kinda sucks, but most people bring their own anyway! The staff were very friendly, especially the red haired lady and blonde haired lady. (I really need to check peoples names so I can mention them by name!)We also went to the restaurant and I have to say, for such a budget hotel. Their restaurant is great. The flatbread pizza and the wholefood salad with chicken was really tasty, had no heaviness at all and tasted very fresh. The two cooks we had too, were very friendly, kind and checked to make sure we were happy.Definitely recommend :)Rooms: Clean and warm.Nearby activities: Some great restaurants!Safety: They lock the doors at 10pm, so I had no worries.Food & drinks: The food was much better than anticipated!Noteworthy details: The lift kind of sounds terrifying though haha

Great city location. Tesco Express, takeaways, Wetherspoons, and Pavilion Theatre are all within a 5-10 minute walk. The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and welcoming. All you can eat buffet breakfast, which includes cereals, yoghurts, full-cooked breakfast, pastries, and fresh fruit, is great value at £9.75 with unlimited tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit juice.

We booked this particular hotel for it's situation near to many of the sights and sounds of Glasgow.Rooms: A bit dated; artex walls in rooms with some upgrading of wetwall in bath/shower room.Nearby activities: Everything on your doorstep.Walkability: Less than 5minutes from Buchanan Bus Station and The Style Mile shopping experience.Food & drinks: Some bar shifts were covered by other staff. One member of the bar staff was very friendly.

My Review of the Travelodge Glasgow CentralThis Travelodge was built in 1995 which is quite surprising to the customer ..... as it quite clearly dates from the 1970s. Extending over 7 floors with 6 floors of customer rooms, this 'modern' hotel (if you are in the 1990s) in the city centre provides 'contemporary quality accommodation'. The contemporary aspect was written by someone living in the 1980s. The quality tag was provided by a blind customer with little value to their personal wellbeing. There is anecdotal evidence that this hotel was last renovated in 2016. Which part of the hotel that was renovated in 2016 is not clearly evident as it appears to have been last decorated in ...... 1995. The carpets were a little threadbare and the walls in the room had some interesting artwork including a mural by Jock McTavish entitled 'I My Spilt Iron Brew' just near to the radiator. The ceilings were beautifully artex covered and the walls in the room were repainted artex, giving a real authentic 70/80s feel. Some shelving provided needed storage for my belongings, although the floor became a more useful storage area. The bathroom was indeed functional. The toilet flushed, the sink filled up and the bath with overhead 80s shower was wet - although the shower direction had to be reset mid shower a number of times as the metal shower hose tensioned and turned it annoyingly towards the wall. This only slightly detracted from the cleansing experience. The room photograph on the company website is advertising a light, airy room with hanging photos and space. My room had space but only for a small person, light-of-foot, to dodge the room furniture in the space available.A seat was provided which was made in high quality retro plastic, most likely from a previous century and with authentic aging rips, exposing that underneath it is a wood based structure with some missing padding. On the whole it was quite comfortable apart from leaving plastic imprints on the rear of the legs. The chair can be used at the desk providing the customer does not wish to sit on it. The bed prohibits it sitting square to the desk structure or moving back from it with an occupant. To reach the other side of the bed, the chair needs to be moved to the rear of the door. Alternatively the customer can simply climb over the bed if able. The bed itself has similar aspects to the chair where the fabric on the base has been stripped back to show the customer that the base is constructed of wood. On the whole the mattress was comfortable but on top of the base, creaked when moving around or getting into it.The saving grace for the room is the TV. Constructed by the LG company, it is believed to be an early example of impressive communication technology and although having Freeview, unfortunately there is a need to be sitting next to the screen to view the extensive 28" display, which of course is not possible due to the proximity of the bed. Binoculars are provided to view the TV effectively even though the distance from bed headboard to screen is not great. The TV also lacks some basic fundamentals of the 21st century such as an HDMI port. The remote is almost portable, but around 12" in length. At one point, the on-payment high speed Wi-Fi reached a screaming 5Mb/sec which almost allowed the downloading of some training content, but uploading was abandoned due to going home tomorrow. However for £31.99 per night (or less), I may consider (albeit only for a millisecond) returning here.Rooms: My room was poor - as per the review!
