Definitely seems iffy. Look at their Facebook reviews which have been padded out with fake 5 star reviews.

An absolute joke. Went in this morning to Blantyre branch to close my account. I was told I couldn't withdraw more than £1000 at a time, dispite them admitting they had the funds. Told me u couldn't withdraw more of the account for 96 hours.An disgusting service, if I'd been basically wanting money out I'd see the point, but want to close the account.I now have to make two trips to both credit union and the bank. If your thinking on opening an account, don't bother, their service is an absolute disgrace.

A joke of a credit union, please avoid!They're trying to improve their review score by having staff post misleading 5 star reviews which is AGAINST FCA RULES!!!I'm reporting them to the FCA and the PRA and then the ASA.Mark, Fraser, James, Fiona are all employees and I'm sure others are as well.They also charged me £4 form my account, when was this decided?!

Superb service and advice given from all the staff at thistle. Their app is amazingly easy to use and allows me to get some savings behind me !

They don't even deserve one Star!! They are a joke. Can't even access your own money when you want. Hardly ever open, can't even access your cash at an ATM Poor service all round. I advise people to avoid, and exsisting customers close accounts as soon as possible ?They really look down on you as if they are doing YOU a favour holding on to your money .On the whole, totally useless when it comes to advice too.They say they don't use ATM's. Fine I know that, but they used to keep decent opening times! Okay not bank opening times, but at least you could access your money without a problem.They might as well SHUT RUTHERGLEN for all the good it does? Even open less than Blantyre ?HAD A BETTER SERVICE FROM RUTHERGLEN WHEN IT STOOD ON ITS OWN. Had a few loans from Rutherglen Credit Union with out a problem."YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW HARD IT IS NOT TO SWEAR IN THIS REVIEW RIGHT NOW"??

Was suddenly charged £4 for a membership fee, why? This has never been the case and as a member i haven't been notified of any changes, why?Con artists!

You have faceless people who make judgements on people who have had problems and are trying to get them sorted , ( Just like a Bank!!!! ) I asked for a loan and was told my credit report has some blips on it, the guy never elaborated, also I have no savings at this time, that is about to change , also they were concerned about how I would be able to pay it back , to me I would just pay it like the first one and never missed a payent on that, I work down in Port Glasgow and yes this company is different to others I have worked for they pay fortnightly but are billion dollar company, also I find your office is not welcoming and is cold and nobody cant get by the desk lady , also I have asked on several occasions before I applied for my latest loan to speak to someone and was asked about a million questions and then handed a loan form, and when the loan is refused you never offered any alternative when you say no , I was under the illusion that you were here to help people like me and others apparently not !!!, I will be using the savings account service but that is all and I will never put myself in that position where your made to feel small and not worth the salt in yer chips,I would not recommend your services ,

Two stars because the Staff are so nice in telling you no not this time, so when i ask for help to understand where I am going wrong all of a sudden all I get told is I'm sorry it's to do with my credit report, don't understand this as my report has never been good though I have always payed my loan repayments on time and if I have ever been in trouble I always make sure I pay everything back even if I need to use my savings and this is used agenst me

Excellent service always with a smile, applying for a loan is made so easy and u don't feel like you are under the microscope like other credit unions and you are not made to feel that it's there money you are taking, the lady who always deals with the loans is so very helpful and I love travelling to Blantyre from ek to use this fabulous run service. My daughter has been with this credit union since primary and I joined about 6 months ago, top class service thank you Ruth Moore & Rachel Girvan
