Brilliant bar in the centre of town. We went for the Blues jam (alternate Tuesdays).
Beers were excellent - the houseband were tight and skilled.
A good selection of musicians in the crowd including yours truly on vocals and harmonica. Very friendly bar staff and customers.
A must visit for blues music fans.
Beautiful interior. Great night.

Nice bar but unfortunately staff sold us pints 5 min before closing time knowing full well that they would kick us out soon and weren?t allowed to give us plastic cup for our drinks, unlike every other place in Europe and every other place we?ve been to in Scotland.
When suggested to warn tourists next time they replied that it?s our job to know to know every rule and law in Scotland, rather than their job to advise us. Such a shame?

Sad to say the beautiful, well-maintained and historic pub was let down by a frumpy staff member with zero customer service skills.
You would think she had gained enough experience in life and in the trade to know how to properly interact with patrons. I asked for ?a pint of lager please? which in most places means the house lager, but instead I got ?What lager, we have lots.? Jeez oh. I asked for the cheapest and was told ?We are not a cheap pub, if you want cheap it is not here.? I said I would take whatever the cheapest is, which turned out to be Tennents.
After a few minutes I was served a cold pint of Tennents, which was great, but with no head whatsoever. £4.90. Fine. I would happily pay extra if it could go towards getting this staff member etiquette lessons before she retires.
I ordered another pint, thought I?d be funny and told her ?I?ll pay with another card to spread the cost?. She never cracked a smile and just said ?Aye that?s a good idea?. Touché.

Don't be fooled by the location, this is a delightful local. They had four cask ales when we were there and a band was setting up--on a Tuesday night at that. Friendly range of younger and older customers.

Wheelchair accessibility: The Entrance is wheelchair accessible but I don't know if there is an accessible bathroom

Just off Sauchiehall Street, we loved this bar. Lovely old central bar, several real ales, various tables and alcoves, a TV but not intrusive. Knowledgeable bar lady who enlightened us about 80 Shilling beers. A real quality boozer in a lovely city.

Only visit this bar occasionally when in the top part of town. Competitive pricing, friendly attentive staff, ideal for a quick drink or longer sessions. Proper pub decor, and large oval bar, plenty of seats, TVs for watching sports etc.

A proper boozer. An old school interior, warm and comforting. Sport on the box and some great pints on tap. This is what a pub should be about. A great venue to meet pals.
