Brilliant bar in the centre of town. We went for the Blues jam (alternate Tuesdays). Beers were excellent - the houseband were tight and skilled. Nice bar but unfortunately staff sold us pints 5 min before closing time knowing full well that they would kick us out soon and weren’t allowed to give us plastic cup for our drinks, unlike every other place in Europe and every other place we’ve been to in Scotland.
Sad to say the beautiful, well-maintained and historic pub was let down by a frumpy staff member with zero customer service skills. You would think she had gained enough experience in life and in the trade to know how to properly interact with patrons.
