Great spot for a casual catch up with friends after a walk along the canal to blow the cobwebs away. Our waitress Kelsey was friendly & welcoming. All staff went out of their way to help our party with any questions we had. We had drinks and snacks and everyone was more than happy with the service.

Sarah and Beth are WONDERFUL! Friendly smiles from the moment we walked in. Food was fab, thanks Leah, and the idea of a hot drink and mini dessert topped it off :) nice and chill and a good laugh with the girls who seem to get to know the customers well. We?ll definitely be back?need that bottle of Prosecco for my birthday for sure!

Best Pizza around, and a good menu. Staff very friendly and a great location day or night! Cosy inside and plenty of room outside overlooking the canal.

Booked for Xmas dinner. Unfortunately the Xmas dinner was a huge disappointment for the price. My dinner was served with all foods stacked on top of the plate so you had to dissect it to see what you had been given. Dinner was cold, one pig in blanket and one carrot. No roast potatoes and served tinned potatoes. I know a tinned potato from a fresh potato. No gravy. Had to ask and to be fair was sorted quickly but again wasn?t impressed. Gravy was thin and watery. Starter was lovely but my dessert to be honest I had no idea what I was eating. Think it was meant to be some sort of cheesecake but absolutely no taste to it. For the price of this meal per head my whole family just felt underwhelmed. Wouldn?t go back. Didn?t feel appropriate on Xmas day to complain to staff who were all really busy and doing the best they could and really not their fault they were serving tinned potatoes. I know Vintage Inns would argue potatoes were fresh but believe me they were from a tin .

We arrived to be welcomed and shown to our table, the staff were very informative about allergies which out my mind at rest. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Shout out to Sophie who was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Back again to my favourite place. The stables never disappoints. Food, atmosphere and service are always spot on. Sarah looked after my daughter and me so well. A great little pre Christmas treat. Thanks xxx

Dropped in on our travels and was very pleasantly surprised at the level of service and the food. Very welcoming staff, nothing was too much trouble and food was excellent . We will definitely return and will encourage our friends to visit

Went to the stables today with a group of friends for a Christmas lunch. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. The portions of the food were very good. Two days previously I had been in Browns in Glasgow for a meal which was rubbish. It proves the point local is so much better. Can?t wait to go again. Love this place.

Ate here recently as part of a large group with several young children. The food was absolutely brilliant, but the service was even better. Our waitress, Sarah, was incredible with the kids and was very attentive during our time there. Thanks again!

First visit to The stables. A warm welcome from the staff (and the lovely log fire) Suzie and Jack were very helpful, my friend has coeliac disease and they helped her to select Gluten Free food. Our food was delicious. Nice hot coffee to finish off our meal. Suzie and Jack were very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Visited with elderly in-laws who stay locally who had been regular visitors historically but had fallen out of love with The Stables. Now very much fallen back in love. The staff (Suzy & Sarah) made all most welcome with wit and pleasantries ensuring we all had an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere and surroundings were very nice and the food was great with a great selection and excellent preparation and presentation from the chef (Darren). Genuinely great job from all the staff - well done, keep it up.
