Went in for busy last minute Christmas shopping. Was quickly helped by Kara around stock for an item and that the price online was actually different from in-store. She immediately sought advice from a manager and let us price match against the quoted price. All of this while the store was incredibly busy and helping other customers. Really made the whole shopping experience so much better.

Should you ever be looking for any beauty buys, I think this is the high street store to come to. Since their renovations their make up aisle is incredible. It has the best and largest selection of high street make up and beauty brands. Their display is easy to navigate, well lit and has a fantastic selection. Even for the other products on sale, there is a great selection available to the shoppers. There are always deals on which helps matters as well of course. The staff is regularly friendly, the shop floor is kept tidy and only around Christmas time does it feel a little cramped. The queue to the till can be quite long some times but it moves relatively fast.

Admittedly, I'm not in this shop a great deal, as I buy most of my hair and face stuff online (sorry Yelp!) or from healthy organic product type suppliers. But it's great for when I need bits and bobs and, as every vegan knows, Superdrug's own brand is all vegan, inlcuding their make up, so that is amazing in itself. I recently bought a Superdrug eyebrow make up kit and I'm pretty happy with it, plus it only cost about £4 which was even better. They also do a great range of vegan make up brushes, which are not cheap, and are definitely good quality - I'd say they are definitely on a par with some of the posher brands I've bought in the past, and they have made some handy on-line tutorials about how to use them properly - so it seems to me like Superdrug is pretty ethical, and also nicely customer focussed. Staff in here are always friendly and helpful, even when you ask stupid questions like 'where are the tissues please' when you are literally standing right next to them, and when desired items are out of stock, they will volunteer to check their system to see when they might come back in, or offer to order them in for you. The cheap prices certainly haven't resulted in any compromise on customer service. This particular store is a fairly large store as Superdrugs go, so it generally has the full range ot stock, including a very impressive make up selection. They often have good deals on - buy 1 get the other half price - that sort of thing, so it's always worth having a quick saunter along the aisles to spot some bargains.

Stocking everything you could ever want from such a store, this mammoth Superdrug store is the pick of the bunch in the city centre when it comes to toiletries and medicine. Spacious and well set out, the staff in here are incredibly friendly and more than willing to help you find what you're looking for and make suggestions. Night and day, compared to the service you receive in some of the cheaper pharmacists on the go. It also has an incredibly handy travel section which stocks lots of niggly bit and bobs you may have forgotten you needed. On my last visit I picked up a fairly swish plug adapter for a few quid. Admittedly I could've got the same thing across the road for a quid in Gift World, but at least this one didn't look like it could potentially kill me with each use.

This is, by far the best Superdrug store in Glasgow and there are a lot of reasons why I like it so much; 1. It has everything you could ever want from such a shop; medicines, hair products, skin care, electrical goods, batteries, a huge range of cosmetics and much more 2. Due to it's location it is always bustling, especially on weekends but that doesn't stop the staff from being super friendly and helpful. Even if they are rushed off their feet they still take the time to help you out if you have a query or check their stock if the item you want doesn't appear to be there. 3. They always have fantastic offers on. If I go in for one thing - I usually come out with about ten more as the offers really are too good to resist including my favourite L'Oreal shampoo nearly always being on a buy one get one free offer. 4. They always have lots of staff on so even when it is busy you never have to wait long in the queue. 5. They stock make-up such as GOSH, Bloom and Barry M that aren't often stocked in other stores. 6. They have a Superdrug cheek tint that is very similar to that of Benefits "Benetint" I found this after years of using Benetint and can tell you that there is absolutely no difference, well apart from the fact that "Benetint" is around £23 and Superdrugs own is £1.91!!!!! 7. For the past few months they have had an offer on where you get 25% off Superdrug goodies and 10% off all other goodies if you fill in a short survey online. Wow... those are just a few reasons but if you are looking for a Superdrug, I would say this one is the best.

This branch of Superdrug seems smaller than the other branch on Sauchiehall Street, however it is packed full of beauty and bathing goodies, from budget own brand buys to premium products, if your pennies permit. There is a great makeup section, with various big brands on offer and assistants on hand to advise you on the best products. I particularly like the Miss Sporty brand, for picking up bits and bobs such as eyeliner and nail polish, that are generally under £2 and ideal for students such as myself.

This particular branch of Superdrug has really stood out since it was refurbished a couple of years ago. They still stock all the usual Superdrug stock, from shampoos to hair dyes to moisturisers and sun care. What makes it great, though, is the huge selection of make-up. While it's all drug store brands, nothing particularly high-end, they have a brilliant selection. They stock their own lines, as well as Maxfactor, Maybelline, Barry M, Collection 2000, Bourjois, etc. They also have staff on hand to help out and give advice on make-up, which is rare in stores like Superdrug and Boots. (Boots tends to have assistants for particular concessions, rather than overall.) Good stuff, especially for cheap make-up!
