Asked if they still did the £5 birthday voucher i ALWAYS got in the past- woman was dismissive, defensive and grumpy. She redirected me to a poster explaining that their points system was being updated TWICE. This implied that I was bothering her for asking her questions. I was not complaining or blaming her for the situation- I don't know why she wasn't happy to explain the situation verbally. Maybe she was tired? She didn't try to upsell me anything or ask if I needed help. I had to wait at the till for her to come to me. Instead of telling me that she was unsure when the update would be finished, she redirected me to the poster A THIRD TIME. Lol. My friend and I burst out laughing after we left the shop because we were so uncomfortable. We are both 20 so maybe she assumed that we were too young and poor to shop there?? I would have STILL bought my face wash with my student discount but I'm just gona order it online now because I'm scared of talking to this woman again. She also did NOT wish me Happy Birthday either :(

Been a customer a long time, and never had anything but polite service from staff in stores before, but today was different. Incredibly standoffish staff member who i've not seen before but said had been there for over a decade. Was dismissive when i asked for a bit of direction to find something and when I tried to be polite at the till and make small talk about how difficult the recent period of uncertainty must have been for staff, I was treated with contempt and suspicion, like some 'narc' looking for insider gossip. I should've just bought from Amazon as the same products are cheaper there (the company won't let you collect loyalty points currently anyway due to updates) and i wouldn't have had the hassle.

No wonder Body Shop going out of business! Tried to use their refill service only to be told they can't do it unless I read the print an elf couldn't read about steam washing and drying perfectly before refilling. I can refill a container with food easier than refilling with shampoo for apparent H&S reasons. Oh and offered to buy ANOTHER refillable container completely defeats the environmental premise of refilling. So bad business practice and greenwashing in one 3 minute conversation.

I am gutted that the Body Shop have closed all but one store in Glasgow, including their very popular wee store in Central Station.
I am a staunch fan of various of their products including the lip/cheek stain which is still great even after the recipe/packaging change.
The only product I use on my hair for the last half-decade is the Body Shop ginger shampoo and conditioner. I get the two big bottles for £32 and they last me over a year. It feels like a treat, lasts so long, and has reduced my psoriasis hugely. Absolute win!
Usually when I am in there is a sale of up to 50% meaning that I can try out new products such as the cream highlighter which I also really like.
Using the loyalty scheme pays off also! After getting the ginger shampoo, a gift for a loved one and perhaps some makeup for myself it often seems that I heave enough points that I can treat myself to one of their high-quality makeup brushes or something else I've wanted to try.
Staff are polite and approachable in the sole remaining St Enoch store. I go out of my way to visit, but really wish that the Body Shop might re-open their store in the train station as it was the perfect place to grab a gift before going on my travels.

The person that was working yesterday (15th July) afternoon was pretty unhelpful. Once they finally looked up from their phone after I said excuse me twice and waited, I asked if there was a perfume in the black musk range that comes in a brown bottle and they replied ?not in the entire time I?ve worked here.? That was quite an unhelpful and passive aggressive way to respond to a customer. Also there was a clear gap on the shelf of the range with no label! Anyway I?ve just googled the range and the brown bottle comes up on the first page with a link to buy from the body shop website!

I visited today for the first time in ages. I chatted with the boy serving; however, his attitude changed when I didn't take him up on signing up for a points card. He was pushy and on handing my purchase back to me, looked away and didn't thank me. The golden rule of retail - is always to thank the customer if they buy anything!I won't be back.
