Ill-mannered, impolite, discourteous, and even racist staff ? including the manager ? with a rotten attitude! I hope you?re happy with what you?ve done to my wife. Your apology is not enough after I confronted you. The way you spoke and handled the situation made me seriously question how you even got that position.
At first, it was an enjoyable shopping trip with my family and our three kids. When my children saw the balls in the cage, they grabbed one and bounced it once. Immediately, you (the manager) shouted at them to return the balls! Come on ? they?re just kids! At least give us one minute to tell them ourselves to stop. We don?t want them messing around either.
Later, when my wife was choosing clothes from the rack, she placed the ones she liked temporarily on the rack behind her while deciding. One of your staff quickly confronted her, demanding she put the clothes back immediately where they belonged. Seriously? Could you not wait a moment? You were rushing to tidy up the store even though it was still two hours before closing. My wife couldn?t help but wonder if the way you treated us was because of our race ? because we are not white.
Come on! I hope your apology was genuine, but it was still unacceptable. You ruined our entire day, which was supposed to be a joyful shopping trip for my son?s birthday. I truly hope you change.

This place is mental ? 1 changing room with shower curtain door for a massive store! No bags left oh and I met the lovely store colleague with the purple/red hair. She is a delight.

Staff singled out a hijab-wearing customer while ignoring others when the security alarm went off. Manager responded to my concern with shouting, foul language, and threats. No professionalism, no fairness ? just hostility. Deeply upsetting and unacceptable.

Old purple haired woman who seemed to be the manager was incredibly rude. I asked her if they have one item in stock and she just rudely replied no and told me to leave without even checking anything. Plus everything in the game section is incredibly overpriced

I was in buying son footballs tonight. The boy jack on is an absolute asset to this store. He couldn't have been more helpful helping me find AstroTurf boots , he then went out his way to help me find the best suiting shin guards whilst having a crazy toddler running about. I can't thank him enough for his help

This has to be the worst sports direct in the UK. Staff are incredibly rude and do not want to help you at all. (Glasgow Silverburn)
I was in buying a few golf bits and decided to treat myself to some golf shoes. After searching for a member of staff for 20 minutes, we finally found three of them on their phone laughing in a corner. When asked if I could get my size , everything went silent and there was no reply. Instead I was just looked at. After one of them finally stopped laughing with their friend they decided to ?help?? me. After saying they don?t know where the golf shoes are kept after 20 minutes they finally reappeared with the shoes and shoved the box in my face. No thanks or anything
This is only one of many stories out there about that place. If you value customer service I wouldn?t recommend going
Sadly it won?t let me put any less stars but if I was the manager of that store I would really look to reevaluate my staff because I don?t think staff being in their phones and ignoring the customers that pay you money is amazing customer service but hey ho, it?s your shop

I tried to return a pair of nike trainers which were clicking on both heels with a valid receipt only to be informed that as it is over 6 months since purchase they could not do anything, I asked them to show me where it tells me that on my receipt to which they replied it's not up to us to inform you it's up tp you to know your rights , nike offer a 2 year guarantee on footwear but I was also told sports direct do not honour this,manageress was a nasty piece of work , I was furious on leaving store and she was actually laughing to anyone looking to purchase from here I have some advice
AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS I WOULD NEVER GIVE THIS COMPANY A PENNY OF MY MONEY EVER AGAIN THEY DONT GIVE A MONKEYS ABOUT YOU ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY

Manager agreed shoes I bought had a manufacturing fault that made them unwearable but still refused to refund them. Said it's just company policy and that he's 'only following orders'.

I was in today 9th march 2025 around 10.30 ish I?m sure the lady I spoke with was Leanne but not sure ? anyway she was amazing I really wanted to share my experience with her as my son is autistic and we have always found it difficult to find him shoes , she came over and asked if we needed any help and spent about 20 minutes with my son helping him find the right fit especially as we only found out he has an extra wide width so was very difficult to get a pair to fit him , she was so kind considerate and patient with him she tried her best and in the end got a pair that he was very happy with.
Just want to say a big thank you ? your a star and will be back again for his next pair you deserve a medal ? from jacks mum Mandy x

This company has the most ridiculous refund policy, even for faulty items. I feel sorry for the staff who need work there because they are obviously trained to resist a refund no matter what which results in people confronting them. The company is a joke and the staff deserve better but if I'm paying £50 for an item that is faulty then I am not leaving without my money.
Purchased a bag once and realised while walking out of the shop that it was torn. I went back to the till immediately to swap it for a fresh one however they had none in stock (couldn't tell me when they would have them back either) and I had to literally argue my case to get a refund as they were adamant they could only give me store credit....
Tired to return faulty shoes last night and it took about ten minutes of debate, being gaslit and standing my ground before they finally issued a refund.

Bad service, Rude staff ?we were told not to try on clothes because it was only ten minutes before closing, in this case we wanted to pay the bill directly by cash ?but told card only as they not accept cash at the time . lift and escalator both not working

I picked up a cricket ball and was about to put it back until a angry worker came along. After we going down the escalators she called us back to see it. And then she started checking the pockets of 7 yesr how crazy is that.
