There are quite a few branches of Sally Salon Services in Glasgow but the one in the Hillington Industrial Estate is by far my favorite. It is absolutely massive! Sally's is clearly aimed at selling to professional hairdressers but they also sell to the general public and you can pick up some salon quality products at good prices. I was in this branch of Sally's recently to buy some massive hair rollers in a futile attempt to make myself look a bit like Cheryl (soon to be Tweedy again, naughty Ashley) Cole. I ended up coming out with all sorts! They sell some great shampoo brands which you usually can't buy anywhere except at a salon, such as Matrix and Keratase. There are also salon quality false nails which are better than the ones you'll find in the likes of Boots and it's cheaper than going to a beauty salon to get your nails done! If you are a professional hairdresser or a college student learning hairdressing you can also by all your equipment from this massive store. Things like scissors, aprons, towels and those creepy heads for practicing on. You can even buy furniture such as chairs and mirrors! I would recommend going to this store just to check out the really weird things they sell. For example I found some "Bumpits" which according to the box are inserts which you put in your hair to make it bump up at the back. Even the girl on the box looks ridiculous, but hey, someone must be buying them! I also enjoyed the "Winkease" which are paper cones which you stick to eyelids which make you unable to open your eyes while on a sunbed and thus protecting them. Oh and they make you look incredibly silly.
