Second time in with Nicole, love the way she helps me decide what to do with my hair as I like to keep things simple for at-home styling. I asked her to put a wave in my hair today though and it looked so cute, she even gave me loads of advice on how to do it at home. The scalp massage and back massage whilst getting hair washed adds that extra bit of luxury to getting your hair done.

I visited Roar (Giffnock) with the sole intention of lighting up my roots which are naturally very dark. I stated many times during my initial visit that all I really wanted was to lighten up my roots, and have most of my natural dark colour gone. I truly could not have emphasised this anymore than I did while there. I was open-minded to the colour and the tone, and the result colour of what was dyed is actually great. I was also happy to pay whatever to achieve this and in the end it came to over £100.However, when I left I noticed the roots at the front of my hair had barely been touched and were mostly dark. There is a thumbnail sized length of hair at my root which has not been dyed and is still dark. There was a mark of dye near my forehead roots (that was obviously not intended to be there). I was disappointed and pretty upset.I rang up Roar and politely explained. They said they were "happy" I had called as they are always looking for feedback and to improve and another appointment was arranged.I naturally went into my appointment thinking that given this was the stylists mistake & they had not listened to what I had asked for, that it would be insane if they would charge me.Wrong! I was charged £70 and barely offered an apology. I'm not a confrontational person at all and I felt bad enough that I just smiled and said "that's fine".No consideration was given to my time or money and top of that the few strands the stylist added to the front of my hair/roots do not match the colour from my first appointment!I really wish the stylist had just listened to what I had asked for during my first visit. I'm not fussy when it comes to my hair and I only really wanted one thing from the appointment. It's also a shame as the staff are so friendly and welcoming, but paying nearly £200 for colouring that's nowhere near perfect is annoying.Service: Hair coloring
