I was about to purchase an item and thought I would call and just double check technical information. John, the store manager, was helpful, and gave advised me the item I was going to purchase would simply be unsuitable for my desired set up. He advised me on the best solution. And I went with five new home theatre speakers that were on offer, at a crazy good price. I purchased these over the phone on a Thursday afternoon, and unbelievably they were my doorstep on Friday morning. Fantastic service, fantastic advice, and in the end of fantastic product. Thank you John.

We experienced a fantastic service during our recent visit to Richer Sounds, with a special shout out to Charlie for going above and beyond to make sure we got the two pairs of headphones we wanted! Great advice, patient and super knowledgeable. We?ll be back for sure!

Very friendly staff, however, the quality of consultation and general advice was below of what I used to have during my visit to other Richer Sounds stores.First of all, the sales consultant was not really interested in selling anything - I had a strong feeling that he was just waiting for the end of the day to close the shop and to go home.Then, the quality of his advice and proposed equipment raises a lot of questions about the competency of the salesman.Specialised Hi-Fi store? Not at all! You might have better experience in casual department store.I need a very good reason to visit back this place, otherwise I will go to another Richer Sounds store or obviously order online after telephone consultation.Very disappointing experience.

Price match (updated from 3 to 5 stars)Purchased an LG oled42c34la on the 18th November from the Glasgow store asked to price match price found elsewhere,reduced price from £899 to £879 including VIP discounts.disappointed to see it now advertised , less than 14 days later at £849.apart from not been given the best deal at time of purchase delivery was great, arrived when stated.UPDATE ,had call from customer service and informed that they have a 14 days price match policy and have now been refunded the difference in price .

It's strange that you use & spend a few thousand quid & and everyone is charming and helpful. Yet just the other day, I was in the shop with my brother, where I purchased a few high-end goods. We both had the same (salesman) David who never stopped rabbiting on & is very of putting, my brother thought the same to the extent that he said that he would not come back as he thought this David was rude & of putting. Previously, I had a run-in with him regarding a vip discount. Resulting in me cancelling the product I had ordered. The manager John is a terrific chap & will go out of his way to accommodate you. This visit with my brother was a bit of an eye-opener as when he was looking at a 2& a half£k TV, it let me see things in a different light. For example, David he rabled on like he was in charge & not in check. Stephen, a decent fellow gormless & on a previous occasion, jumped to another customer while serving me. & for the first time, I saw the mask slip with the manager John when on near completion of my purchase of over a thousand squids, cash there was a quibble about the six year Guarantee, & with a bit of jiggery pokery I got a 5 year guarantee though it was not written on the receipt as other items. When this company was owned by Julian Richer, maybe he had a vision, but now it is 60pc employee owned. & Things have changed. I have a number of expensive items I wish to purchase, but I am already having second thoughts about my items recently bought. Not by the products but by the experience

As always excellent service from Alan & Simon at the Glasgow store. My go to for TV & Hi-Fi equipment.Yesterday Bought set of Sony headphones & the boys matched longer warranty period offered by John Lewis. Also discounted price by an extra £10 as VIP customer. Although item I wanted was not in stock, delivery arrived 24hrs later. ??

First time visitor a few months ago upon recommendation. John the manager is great! Really knowledgeable and was able to give me a great price. Ended up spending an hour in the store just talking to him. Very good customer service! I used to buy electronics online or from other stores but now will always make sure to come here.

Richer Sounds isn't a bad place to buy hifi bits and pieces. They have a good range of products from the sensible end of the hifi market. with competitive prices.In my view, their main failing was the quality of customer service in the Glasgow store. Emails were routinely ignored by the staff member I'd been dealing with (initial S), wasting my time, and making a return to that particular store unlikely for me now. This is a shame, as a local hifi store I could rely on would have meant repeated custom for the store.My feedback would be for Richer Sounds, Glasgow to stay on top of emails and make genuine customer service a priority for staff (instead of the appearance of genuineness that gives the sales industry a well-deserved bad reputation). People will come back if they are treated decently and offered good value for money and honest customer support - it's not rocket science.....Update: rating upgraded as a result of the conscientious support of customer services - much appreciated

After the first, slightly frustrating purchase with my local Richer Sounds store I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I'd had to chase the salesman in question for nearly 2 weeks for cables for the hifi system I bought, with several emails ignored followed by poor excuses on why they weren't replying. But I had another £1000 to spend on a rack and other bits, so I thought I'd give them one last try.Like most people, because I'm working I'm not able to phone or call into the store easily, so I emailed them this week to order an expensive rack system. I received an automatic read receipt. Three days later, still no reply from the same salesman I dealt with before. So like last time, they're obviously receiving emails, but for some reason they reply to some but are not bothering to reply to others, including an imminent sale close to £1000.I've now thrown in the towel with Richer Sounds and have ordered what I need via one of the other hifi stores in the city, both of whom replied to my emails within an hour. Even if it costs me more I'd sooner shop with a company that genuinely respects its customers. I won't be spending another penny at Richer Sounds.
