Was in there a short while ago (16th August 2023). We had to mention twice that many tortilla crisps on the shelf were past their ?Best Before? date by about a month. Thankfully, we realised that before purchasing and found a few packets at the back of the shelf which still had not passed their ?Best Before? date. We politely mentioned to the person at the till that, by the way, just for your information there are many of these tortilla crisps packets that have passed their ?Best Before? dates. The indifference and lack of appreciation from this employee was truly shocking. Then one of his colleagues nearby compounded the error by saying these are ?Best Before? dates and not ?expiry? dates, and that those items are reduced in price. Complete lies as? a) even though it?s a ?Best Before? date the product should not still be on the shelf a month later, regardless whether or not it?s reduced in price! Yes, perhaps you can get away with keeping these products on the shelf and reducing their price up until the stated ?Best Before? date, but not 4 weeks after that date! and b) there was no indication that those products were reduced to clear, but that is besides the point, as the ?Best Before? date is from last month. I have never seen this practice of keeping a food item on a shelf so long after the ?Best Before? date has elapsed at any food retailer. Also, there was no apology with this other employee, either nor any thanks whatsoever for pointing this blatant oversight out to them. Disgraceful, especially considering so many school-aged children buy food and drink from this particular shop. I?m sure trading standards would be interested in hearing about this.

Great place. Loads in it. However 2 major negatives. 1-forecourt/car park area is tiny. Its a very busy place because of whats inside it and its not been thought out that better parking would be required. 2-its the only bp station that doesnt allow you to use your points card to purchase stuff other than fuel. Which is why most people use them to save up the points for a lunch or whatever. Of the 100s of bp garages ive been to all over scotland this is the only one who does this. Very frustrating. On a positive theyre is a good range, lots to choose from, the tubees area is great. Wouldve gave 5 stars if they sorted the problem with the rewards cards. Had a few issues with company fuel cards not been put through right, but putting this down to new staff needing trained. Hopefully sorted now.

Think that?s about the fourth time I?ve bought something and it?s more expensive than what the label says. Milk advertised as £1.89, charged £1.99 at till. Think I?ll walk a bit further to Scotmid next time!
