Great central location only 5 minutes from bus and train stations. As of 15/2/2020 going under some refurbishment, didnt affect our stay on the 17th floor.Room overviewUpdated 21/3/2024, hotel getting refurbished again. The new style room again we stayed on the 17th floor has updated lighting, walk in shower and a nice addition a table with 2 seats and luggage rack. The big desk and wardrobe in front of TV has gone replaced with a slim shelf with power points and usb and usb c.The wardrobe unit is now an open shelving unit with the kettle and tea and coffee facilities integrated. Still has space for 4-5 hangersBed areaBeds have a fixed small shelf either side, of the bed with usb and power point, the bedside shelf quite small but enough space for my glasses, phone and bottle of water.BathroomThe bathroom is nicely refreshed. The walk in shower is a nice change, easier to get in and out, and with the glass shower screen no more issues of the shower curtain sticking to your butt, and screen just feels much cleaner than that fabric curtain.Issue during our stayThe only downside to the room, is the Aircon/heating wasn't working. My wife likes the room warm when you are awake but like a walk in freezer at night, thankfully it was that hot over night, the friendly stuff did supply a small oil filled heater to get take out of the room. And even offered to move us to another room.HotelReceiption is located on the second floor, a access lift is located at entrance of the hotel to allow guests to get to the main lifts, as there are 10 steps at the entrance of hotel.Lifts.Strange random floor generator lifts, or maybe the lifts are haunted.Request floor 17, the lift would proceed in an upward direction, stop at floor 6 and open the doors to nobody, then descend to floor 0 then up to floor 4 and open to the ghost of premier inn. Then finally speedily up to floor 17.RoomsThe rooms are spread over 14 floors, floors 14,15,16 are premier inn plus rooms. The rest of the standard room and spread over the remaining floors, if you not a fan of heights. avoid floors 17,18. The view from our room was looking up sauchiehall street, and on this clear day you could see for milesBreakfastFirst time we've had breakfast in Premier inn in a long time. I would have to say the all you can eat buffet was one of the best I've had, and constantly being topped up by the kitchen staff, all items lovely and hot. Good selection of items and porridge and poached eggs available by request (not in the same bowl). The Bar/restaurant/breakfast is located on the 2nd turn right at reception.

Booked in through work accommodation portal that uses a travel agency for bookings and payment. Payment details were sent through to the hotel but 'Mark' the manager refused to take payment and instead tried accusing us of fraud. The company I work for employs over 7000 people and all of our hotels are booked this way without issue, including at Premier Inns.Ended up going next door to the Holiday Inn Express and booked in without issue.

Check in, not the best. Arrived 20 minutes before 3 pm, but I was told I I couldn't check in early unless I paid a £10 fee. I know this setup is normal, and I have used it previously in Premier Inn hotels, but that was when I arrived a few hours early. So I was told to relax in the bar and come back at 3 pm. 10 minutes later, I spotted a large queue at check-in and people getting checked in. So much for the you can't check in till 3.There are only 3 stars for the room as the toilet seat was stained yellow. The hotel is also being renovated. I was only told this the day before I arrived by email.Maybe put security on the front doors at night like other Premier Inns.

Me and my mother visited Scotland for the day, and struggled to carry around our heavy bags, after finding a way to store our bags for a small price at most hotels, we picked this premier inn for the convenience of location. From the few times we went in to drop off our bags, and collect, the different staff who greeted us were so lovely and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. This made our trip so much easier, especially since we had traveled a long way, and were visiting under sad circumstances. My mum and I agree we would look to stay here in future, just purely off the welcoming atmosphere the staff brought us.Recommended to all! And a big thanks to the people working here.Walkability: Right by the bus station and in the middle of town ?

Tell me something? Why do premier inn still advertise like their the cheapest hotels around? I could get a night at the Hilton hotel for the same price and have breakfast included in that price. All premier inns need to stop advertising that they are the cheapest as this is not the case. In 2019 I could book a room here for £40 amazing value for money now your lucky to get it under £130, and with nothing included. I looked up Hilton and other great hotels and they are the same with breakfast included. Premier inns have completely lost their way and joined the ranks of all about profit!!!

Hubby and I stayed for one night to attend a gig, and we would definitely go back. All the staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful. Especially Tommy on reception, a top bloke who warmly welcomed us, and gave us lots of handy information. The room on the 8th floor was modern and well furnished, and absolutely spick and span. The bed and pillows were so comfy, I had the best sleep I've had in a long time.Had fish and chips at dinner, and breakfast next day, everything was freshly cooked and very tasty.

Such bad service, I have to run thrice to get my keys to work. So dirty and dusty, the rooms are with torn blankets and sheets. Drinking glasses were so dirty. Check the pictures. The location is an amazing one. But the staff are not cooperative and not worth the money.Rooms: Such bad service, I have to run thrice to get my keys to work.
