All manner of books (new and old) covering a wide range of subjects; from local ie Scottish to America and beyond.Subjects include history, politics, religion as well as works of fiction. All at reasonable condition ( it is a charity book shop) and good prices. My biggest gripe is there are so many books you can lose track of time :)All in all a definite place to pass the time in and who knows, find a treasure...

Great little bookshop, I always find something interesting to read here!

a haven of tranquillity in a forever busy city - wonderfully old fashioned compared to othet 'boutique' charity shops - I love the calm ambience of Oxfam - the lack of whole tribes of breeders armed with prams/push chairs, missing are the frantic eBay dealers/car boot sellers with outsized rucksacks and air pods jammed in both ears (preferring to remain aware of effects of the wrecking ball they wear). The shop reminds me of a wonderful Hogwartian library - a hidden place of magic and wonder. This shop also sells Cafe Direct coffee, fair trade chocolate, CD's and all sorts of world village foodies as well - staff are lovely and just as magical - highly recommended

This bookshop is close to my heart as it's where I started volunteering for Oxfam back when it opened in 2011. It's always felt like a peaceful haven away from busy Buchanan Street. It fits in perfectly on Royal Exchange Square and retains the old fashioned Victorian feeling of the surrounding buildings. Inside you'll find books, cds, dvds, greeting cards and fairtrade chocolate from Divine (which is delicious by the way). If you enjoy browsing bookshelves then you'll enjoy this shop! The standards are quite high at Oxfam shops so most of the books are in very good condition. You can even find some rare and collectable books here, check out the glass cabinet at the counter for first editions and so on. The stock is made up entirely of donations of course and all the money raised goes towards Oxfam's work around the world. Your purchase of a £2.99 paperback could literally save a life!

Books, books, books. Lots of books! This little charity shop is full to the brim with them, including a small section devoted to CDs. Slap bang in Merchant City, it's just a few seconds walk from the bustling Argyle and Buchanan Street, meaning that you don't have to venture too far away from the more popular shopping haunts to get your second-hand literature fix! The shop is well-organised, with clearly divided genre sections, making it easy to find what you're looking for. When I was in most recently, they had a great selection of books, new and old. (Even a first edition Burns collection! Oooh!) Browsing here is always a delight and I could easily kill a good half hour searching! It's all good in my book!
