I recently had laser eye surgery with Optical Express and I couldn?t be happier with the results. From start to finish the staff were incredibly supportive, and my surgeon, Dr. Huba Kiss, along with the team in Edinburgh, made me feel completely at ease.
Optical Express were also very accommodating with my situation. I live in Glasgow, so they arranged my surgery in Edinburgh but all of my aftercare in Glasgow, which made everything much more convenient.
The surgery itself was quick, easy, and surprisingly comfortable. During the procedure I couldn?t feel anything at all, just some flashing lights. Afterwards, there was a little blurriness and irritation, but nothing compared to the discomfort I used to get from wearing contact lenses.
The results have been truly life changing. On the very same evening I could already see the TV clearly, and by the next day I was able to drive. Just three weeks later, I went to Alton Towers and for the first time ever I could enjoy every ride without worrying about my contacts drying out or causing irritation.
As someone who constantly struggled with infections and discomfort from contact lenses, being free from all of that has been amazing. The whole process was so much easier than I expected, and I would recommend Optical Express and Dr. Kiss?s team to anyone considering laser eye surgery.

I recently had lens replacement surgery, and I can honestly say it has been life-changing. Before the procedure, I relied heavily on glasses and contact lenses for even the simplest daily tasks, but now I have achieved better than 20/20 vision.
The clarity is incredible ? everything feels sharper, brighter, and more vivid than I ever imagined possible. From reading signs at a distance to working on a computer for hours, my vision feels natural and effortless. I no longer need to fumble for glasses in the morning or worry about the inconvenience of contact lenses.
The difference this has made in my life is remarkable. Simple things like driving at night, enjoying outdoor activities, or even just watching television are easier and far more enjoyable. It feels like a weight has been lifted, and I now have complete freedom from corrective eyewear.
Lens replacement surgery has given me not just clear vision, but also a new level of confidence and quality of life. I only wish I had done it sooner.

Great service, lovely staff. They pay attention to detail. I had an issue with one lens implant. That lens was exchanged at no cost with follow up care appointments

I had lens replacement surgery here and must say I am delighted with the outcome.
The surgery was done privately and wasn?t cheap, but pretty much the same as all the competitors ( unless you want to risk it in Turkey ).
Good follow up and all round excellent service.

I?m in the process of receiving lens replacement surgery.
I have 6 weeks till my surgery & i can honestly say that i?ve been looked after with the best care & advice by Eilidh , Ashleigh & the entire team.
They are compassionate & understanding & explain absolutely everything in great detail which is reassuring.
So far so good, & i shall update once my surgery is complete.

Very reassuring, and made me feel comfortable, the surgery was quick and a few hours of discomfort afterwards, and the follow-up appointments showed that my vision is good.

I had PIOL surgery with optical express last month. My prescription is quite strong and my corneas quite thin, so I wasn't a candidate for lazer and was a bit nervous about getting lense implants.
However, I had nothing to worry about. The whole team were amazing at putting me at ease and I opted for a sedative for the procedure as well.
I had some elevated eye pressure following the surgery (a response to the steroid drops) and the team were, again, very good at putting me at ease and monitoring the situation.
I am really satisfied with the my vision and was able to do the West Highland Way without glasses/contacts less than a month after the procedure, which was incredible for someone who has relied on glasses for as long as I can remember.

Since I have had my eye lens replacement it?s been great to be able to see without glasses. I can see everything so clearly now, it?s like I have bionic eyes. Simple things like applying make up is so easy. I can read small print which I could never do before. One of the best things I?ve done for sure and would definitely recommend to others to do.

Had cataract surgery at optical exspress Glasgow staff were very attentive and helpful my surgery was quick and painless and the results were better than I expected thanks guys
