Unfortunately me and my father?s experience in this store was very unprogressive in terms of ethnic stereotypes.
Me and parents came into the store with the intentions to BUY however, as my mum looked around freely, me and my dad (African) where followed closely by a staff member. And when we decided to wait stationary, minding our own business in the store, whilst my mum continue looking around, a member of staff came and stood right beside us leaving with no room for personal space, watching us with a judgemental look as if we were going to steal.
It became so uncomfortable that we had to leave the store. It is very upsetting that in this day and age with the masses of diversity flourishing in Glasgow, that people still act off of racist inclinations. Marking people with the terms of ?dodgy? or ?thieves? based on the colour of someone?s skin or ethnic appearance. As a mixed Scottish and African person, I think it is appalling that I still get treated in such a manner, in the city I was born and raised in?.

Stuff can be lovely but I sometimes feel when I'm in that particular branch that I'm constantly being watched or followed. Not everyone is a shoplifter you know..

I have bought so many lovely things in this shop over the years, I felt it was time for a review. From the friendly greeting at the door to the always-helpful staff, I can be sure to find something here, either for myself, or a gift for another. Quality always excellent too!

I was really looking forward to a good look around your store today while in Glasgow for a few days as I normally have to shop online only to be followed around constantly by a member of staff awkwardly fixing things. Thanks for being so judgemental and ruining my day. I certainly wont be back.
