I called in the morning wishing to make a large withdrawal. I was told it wasnt a problem. My husband arrived at the branch to pick up the money but it was closed. There was no mention of closing for lunch (Thursday 19th September 24) on top of this he was required to produce I.d. again the person I spoke to on the phone failed to mention that this was a requirement. My husband has now got to return again tomorrow he doesnt drive and uses public transport. A wasted journey.!!

I recently visited Nationwide Bank to inform them of my mother's passing, and unfortunately, I was met with a rude and unhelpful assistant. It was a difficult time for me, and I had hoped for some understanding and support during this process. However, the assistant's behavior only added to my distress. I would have appreciated more empathy and professionalism in handling such sensitive matters.
I was told we do not process any of ?this? in the branch and you need to contact the head office I was given a number and stared at until I left, once I made the phone call to the head office they were extremely shocked I was making the phone call as someone from the branch should have been making this call instead. I was told to go back into the branch again and speak to someone else and I came across Scott who was a little more sympathetic and was able to help. I will be making a official complaint regarding the person I encountered and I am glad not to be banking with someone like nation wide, will surely be sharing my experience with everyone I know.

We don't close branches? Anniesland? Anyway, I head here to pay cash into my account so I don't have to negotiate the city centre or Byres Road. Branch is shut and cash machine won't allow me to deposit money! Tell me how you are any better than any other bank again?!

Didn't like when I had to go in and when I had to use their phone to talk to head office there was no door to close, as it is open plan. So much for respecting my privacy.

The opening hours are not great and it's pretty busy. Only two people on at a time. I prefer the one in the city centre.

The cash point for some reason regularly doesn?t accept deposits. Many wasted trips to try to deposit cheques and some now out of date cheques!

Really helpful, patient staff. They are especially nice when being shouted at by old women who don?t understand they don?t make social distancing rules and therefore cannot change nor take responsibility for the fact she had to wait outside! They are always willing to help and are always extremely nice!!

Usually have a pleasant experience here with staff members but on this occasion felt the person who served me was quite abrupt and felt she didn't want to be there. Made me think about taking my services elsewhere.
