"I'd like an appointment with Dr Bloggs next Tuesday afternoon. 4pm? Yes, that's fine. See you then" - me, back in about 1996, when public services still worked. The doctors here are brilliant but the system they use for booking appointments is absolutely awful and completely inferior to what was on offer in the 90s and 2000s. How is that possible?Their online form goes some way toward rectifying things and the professionalism of the medical staff is impeccable.

Excellent surgery. Since moving to the area I have only had good experiences and interactions with them. There has been prompt communication from them and the Admin team are great. When my Father needed an appointment, Dr. Cosgrove was extremely helpful and a very patient, kind and sympathetic GP.Thank you

Almost impossible to see a doctor. New reason for not getting an appointment today was, "it's urgent cases only." I don't remember this being the GP's remit I thought urgent cases went to A and E. Dreadful service.

Absolutely fabulous wee Surgery. Wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for the great care (Dr Lyall) and Alison. Thank you both so very much x

Continually getting my prescription order wrong, waiting an eternity on the phone is so frustrating. Ordered 2 sets of tablets 6/6/23...went to chemist late on 10/6/23....only 1 set of tablets!! Called surgery 12/6/23...."we dont know what happened" was their reply. Was told they would be in chemist today, left it as late as possible to go......guess what, NO TABLETS, but a medical pack for me which i didnt order?, total shambles imo.

A fairly average GP surgery, marred by utterly baffling and arbitrary red tape and bureaucracy. This isn't a terrible GP surgery. You can get appointments and see an actual GP (wow!). You can (eventually) get what you need. Eventually. You know how they say that GPs are the gatekeepers the the rest of the NHS? Well, GP receptionists are the gatekeepers to the actual GPs. In a fantastic example of "gatekeeperism", the arbitrary systems in place at the Murray surgery at the gatekeepers to the GPs receptionists.Yes, this surgery does EVERYTHING IN ITS POWER to stop you from speaking to, you know, an ACTUAL PERSON. In a work of genius, they have FORMS! On their website! Forms to contact the GP. Forms to contact the reception. Forms to request forms to ask for a form about forms!Credit to whomever came up with this concept, clearly they were out of their tiny little minds. But, it gets better still! Some of the forms can only be accessed and completed at a certain time. Want to use the contact form for the GP? Only between 8-10 in the morning, and only on weekdays. Why? Who knows? Maybe they can't afford to keep their pc on after that. Certainly, it wasn't for the benefit of the people who pay for the service, the actual patients.Better still again! Once that form is filled in, the waiting begins. Repeat prescription? 72 hours. Fit note (which they still call a sick line, because, obviously, training was cancelled that day)? 48 hours. The best bit, though, I'd that they don't contact you to tell you it's ready. No phone call, no email. You need to go to the surgery to collect, and if it isn't ready? Come back tomorrow. After 1400! It's not as if people work now, is it?Apparently they used to email confirmation, but "the emails broke". Indeed. It appears more than the email is "broke".There you go, folks. That's how broken the NHS is. Jumping through all manner of hoops just to get seen. This surgery is pretty poor, but better than many. That's not a backhanded compliment. Sigh.

Dreadful doctor. Totally apathetic. Not a toss given, can?t get them on the phone, web forms take ages to get a response, have to tell them the same thing 18 times in writing and over the phone and they still don?t put it on the file despite promising to every time. Closed for 2 hours in the middle of every day. Closed every other chance they get. Doctors constantly having days off and holidays. Get better mental health support by screaming down a drain pipe. They shouldn?t even have a license. Absolutely disgusting.

Horrible, don?t care if you have to wait in pain and don?t send emergency prescriptions to the right pharmacy. Can?t get an appointment and have to rely on them deciding when you will be contacted but they won?t even tell you when that is so good luck if you are working and not on your phone all day for 3 days.Absolute shambles of a system, never had such a bad experience at a surgery and it?s such a shame because the doctors are actually good but you can rarely get the help you need when you need it.Receptionists pick up the phone and sound like you are the biggest bother for phoning them, how dare you need help.Honestly don?t register here if you value your time or health. If I could give less stars I would.

Phoned up about an allergy report for a potential peanut allergy, was told they would be made available on Monday. After repeatedly phoning I was told by a very uninterested and unconcerned receptionist that my results were not yet in. Upon phoning again the next day I was told that my results showed ?no action required?. After going about completely unaware of my peanut allergy for around 3 weeks and therefor being completely unsafe, I was again phoned by the surgery, this time from a doctor who said my results showed I was indeed allergic to peanuts. This is disgraceful as I was completely blindsided to a potentially deadly allergy and was left without any way of preparing for an anaphylactic reaction. The reception staff are consistently useless and terrible at their jobs, it is not difficult to read a result from a name and blood work, and certainly doesn?t require a doctorate.

Disgraceful practice with pretend Doctors..who do not know their proper code of Ethics .. Bring back proper Doctors who don't have to look under the desk to find answer's..

Our family are all extremely well cared for by the team at The Murray Surgery. The practice has continually evolved and adapted throughout the publicised demands placed on health services in recent years. Urgent care requests are always met with priority. The systems now in place for routine care enquiries are always dealt with efficiently and professionally.

It's a very busy practice, due to the expanding size of the town & poor performance of other practices, but I always manage to get a telephone consultation without issue, admin staff are always helpful. Definitely one of, if not the best practice in East Kilbride
