Mother India is classed as a Glasgow institution and it really lives up to its reputation. Having dined here frequently I honestly cannot fault both the consistency of the food and service here hence why we keep coming back! The atmosphere is relaxed despite this being a really busy restaurant and the staff are always attentive. I have dined on all three floors each offering a different ambience dependent on the occasion. The menu is varied and the dishes plentiful which in my view always taste incredible. The lamb and fish dishes are cooked to perfection but the butter chicken is my particular favourite. Seriously coming here is one of the highlights of my week you won't be left disappointed. Keep up all the hard work it's clearly paying off. Would 100% recommend to friends and family or anyone visiting the city.

Zero star as they ruined our whole wonderful experience of Glasgow tour.
We had a very disappointing experience at Mother India. The restaurant overcharged us, and when we politely raised the issue, the staff was extremely rude and even started shouting instead of resolving the matter. On top of that, the food quality was poor ? the garlic dishes and other items were undercooked. Very unprofessional service and unacceptable behavior. Definitely not recommended.

first of all staff is very rude with customer they do not know how to deal with customer , even then they have no cutlery, and plates for food, food quality is very bad, they take extra charge from customers.and no communication in between of staff every one is blaming another staff they they punched the food

Zero star for them.
Worst experience in whole glasgow trip. No proper sitting specially staff was very rude. No manners to talk and deal with customers.
Nothing mentioned in menu properly. Given as undercooked butter naans and raw bitter garlic on top??
On the top of this charged us 30-40 pound extra. On explaining whole staff was behaving like maths is other worlds thing for them. Very bad experience

Very bad service the staff was really rude shame the restaurant is so nice well maintained but the staff was there was worst they dont know how to present a bill to there guest it should be initially 67 quid and they try to charge 109 and without checking i have paid the bill but later when i checked after 2 min and i asked them they didn?t even try to understand rather then they started shouting on us !!! Such a shame for owner that he had worst staff in his organisation !!!!!

We had such a feast in Mother India! We order so many things so these are my highlights: Delhi Style Lamb (flavorful and meat cooked to perfection), Vegetarian Thali with Dahl, fried aubergines, and the garlic naan.
This is also such a cool location: lit by candles and designer furniture.
Will try it out again next time I'm in Glasgow

We walked by and got turned on by the smell coming out of that place. It smelled delicious! It was a Saturday night, so we had to wait about 25 minutes for a table, but it was worth it. Some of the most spectacular Indian food we've ever had. We had the Smoked Haddock as an appetizer (delicious) and we got the prawns and the butter chicken all served with basmati rice and garlic naan for main courses. Wow!!! Everything was perfectly cooked, the prawns were fresh and nice and spicy, the chicken was tender and succulent, the sauces were amazing, it was perfection. Service was spot on and if I'm ever in Glasgow again, I'll check out the rest of the menu.

I had booked a reservation not knowing it was for a different location. But when we showed up, Joseph, was a huge help and willing to take us on short notice even with a group of 8. They were very nice and the food was incredible.

Really amazing and delicious food. Perfectly flavoured and good portions.
I also liked that the card gave a good range of options without being overwhelmed with the sheer number of options. This also speaks for quality of their kitchen.
We reserved a table on a Sunday evening two hours before. Having a reservation seems necessary as the restaurant is rather busy.
Strong recommendation!

Butter chicken and fish pakora are both amazing, the naans are very good and fluffy. The restaurant can be a bit confusing with the different floors and areas to book, but talk to them and they can help.

Absolutely bonkers food. Got the Fish Pakora, Butter Chicken, Black Daal and Garlic Naan. Everything was so flavorful and piping hot. I wish we lived in Glasgow so we could enjoy this more frequently.
