I probably didn't think I'd ever be compelled to write a review of a supermarket but I just have to rave about my local Morrisons. If you're in the East End of Glasgow there is, for me, no better place to do the weekly shop. And I've tried everywhere! This Morrisons is huge, the aisles are spacious and they have well trained fishmongers, deli staff, butchers and bakers. With only a small selection of butchers I like and even fewer bakeries (genuinely can't think of an Indy bakers off the top of my head right now), it meets all the weekly shop requirements. The staff are superb. I'm actually past that awkward "weather small talk" stage with most of the till staff now and they always ask for my son if he's not with me which I think is just lovely. They're a great group of people and since its appearance about a decade ago, there's been little turnover in their staff. Fab! This is definitely the only place to get the shopping in relatively stress free and always surrounded by friendly staff.

A large Morrisons with everything you'd expect. The butcher always has very high quality meat and the selection of fresh fruit and veg is expanding with more exotic and rare fruits (flat peaches, watermelon plums, etc) you wouldn't normally see in Easterhouse being added. There is a cafe on site which I've never eaten in but my three year old likes and a petrol station too. It's close to the Fort so handy to grab something on your way home from shopping. Trolleys need a pound to use but hey ho.
