This is a very comfortable hotel with excellent staff. The furniture and decor are a bit dated but all the fundamentals of a comfortable stay are outstanding. The staff are excellent and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. Ordering cooked food instead of using a buffet was actually quite nice. Shame about the restaurant being closed for dinner. Not sure why that is but being at George Square there is no shortage of places to eat. The WiFi was very good too. Overall I would stay here again quite happily.

Had drinks in bar. Reasonable prices for a hotel in city centre. Nice bar iver looking George Square. Only negative is key pad on loo door (including disabled loo) & no staff about to ask code. Managed to get it from another customer!

4 star name, 4 star service, 4 star lobby but unfortunately 2 star room.Carpet is dirty, shower isn?t really hot, and there is lack of power sockets like in an era which we have no devices to charge. Toilet flush has some issues. I thought a train was passing just right beside my room after I flushed (though the hotel is really right beside a train station). The rooms need a huge makeover then it would be perfect. Then again kudos to the very good service of all staffs in the lobby and restaurant.

A lovely and spacey room, where you felt like you could actually spend some hours in it without feeling claustrophobic. The architecture and decor of the room is a vintage style which I loved.Staff was great, breakfast had plenty of options and was delicious.I will be back soon.

Great location. Breakfast and staff were great. Room was big and spacious and comfortable, bathroom getting a bit tired and some power to charge phone etc near the bed would be helpful.

Didn't stay. Popped in for drinks after an unpleasant experience at the Alchemist. Girls in the bar were lovely, pleasant and very helpful.

Hit and miss with rooms. First night we were kindly upgraded to an executive suite which was super clean and comfortable. However on second visit the room flooring and window sills were not clean. Curtains looked like they were about to fall off. The hotel is perfectly located next to Queen Street station and very easy to access from the airport by bus which costs £16 for a return ticket and takes less than 30 minutes. The breakfast is very good no complaints. Overall the staff were very helpful and always tried to rectify issues.Walkability: Easy to accessFood & drinks: Breakfast is good and the bar is good.

Hotel is very close to the Queen train station and is located in the City Centre of Glasgow.I would say is a 3 star and not 4 star hotel.Prons:City centreDifferent size of pillows to suits your needCons:My room was located very close to train station so I could hear the train announcements.Loud bang noise from electric radiator every now and then.Very loud AC while working, no way you can sleep with the AC on.Cracks and mould in the bathroom.Breakfast: basic but you can have your full. English breakfast on request.Walkability: Very close to Queen train station and to the shopping strip in Glasgow City centre.
