Out of every supermarket I've been too,this has the rudest staff ive ever encountered.No customer service skills whatsoever...A very negative shopping experience.Il stick to Aldi in future..

The Jamaica Street branch is one I visit often but since the refurbishment I try to avoid or shop as soon as they open. There are always large, disorganised queues snaking along isles which are simultaneously being used by customers. The result is something short of Bedlam! One major issue is that the store is now focusing on self service checkouts. The only access to these is via an apature in the barrier on the extreme left of the store, avoiding the obstruction of a chiller cabinet. This is problematic. The self service terminals either accept cash or card. It seems a very limited number accept both. Most people now pay digitally, avoiding cash when possible, but many still use cash. Those wishing to pay by cash have to hover at the top of the queue, waiting until a dedicated cash terminal is available. Since the refurbishment I estimate that the amount of self service terminals has more than doubled, yet it is always horribly busy. Another issue is the isle width at the meat chiller. This is so constricted and I find accessing items lower down difficult. It is without a doubt the worst Lidl store in the City.

Hit by a lidl employer with a metal cage, she then blocked the aisle with the cage and told people to go around, my partner is physically impaired and this was unacceptable. The self checkout has 10+ machines and at a busy time is manned by one person who inevitably is in a bad mood being passive aggressive to customers. Vegan yoghurt were 4 days out of date and rows of them were left for customers to buy. Implemented a checkout with receipt system that clogs the exit. Easily the worst lidl I've been to in my entire life in the UK.

The store felt quite chaotic during our visit. Aisles were crowded and a bit disorganized, which made shopping uncomfortable. The biggest issue was at the self-checkout area ? machines were slow, and there didn?t seem to be enough staff around to help when something went wrong. Not the smoothest experience overall.

They are implementing a new system (without fixing existing issues) that makes the store unbearable to shop in.
Not enough self checkouts accepting card, only one till running at peak time. Various alarms going off every two minutes. Absolute chaos.
The theft prevention system they're trying out is an absolute joke. Scanning receipts on the way out leads to immense crowding at the self-checkout and exit. Barely any space to bag groceries anymore because of it too.
Lidl staff used to be nice for the most part, now the majority seem annoyed. I honestly feel bad for them.
Insufferable security guy wearing all black is way too comfortable putting his hands on people and yelling obscenities. His behaviour only escalates situations, putting other staff and customers in a precarious position.
Used to visit this store weekly for my shopping, but will not set foot in there again. My sanity is worth the extra five pounds I'd pay elsewhere.
