Years ago when I was but a wee lass who was thrilled to be awake before noon, I always remember my granny dragging me here for a morning at the shopping centre and the Govan Market so instantly I have a soft spot for it forever. Recently there been businesses move in and move out and it has some empty spaces but it still has something charming about it. They now have stalls with sell various accessories, clothing and bags and inside they always have some information about Govan and the surrounding area that I suggest taking the time to read. The exception of the centres charm the pop up stalls who insist on trying to sell you a sky upgrade or electric despite saying "sorry I rent" several time but hey there just doing there job. Outside the whole place has been upgraded and some of carvings heading towards underground are really nice, there all cherub themed I believe which now I'll have to spend a few hours researching! Govan Shopping Centre truly is a gem, it's full of character and is one of the only places you can get your outfit for a night out, your dinner and carry out for under £20 quid!

This centre is Rather run down to say the least, it used to be bustling and full of shops, but now, there is only a few, iceland, coffee shop, card shop, book stand, subway take away, and a few stalls and other shops . Not much to talk about. This centre seems to supply the locals with what they need. Across the road on a saturday is the Govan Market, which is open 10am till 230pm, very good for meat and veg and a few cakes stalls. The veg stall is always mobbed. Worth a visit for the Veg stall.

Just a quick hop off the Govan Subway will find you in the Govan Cross Shopping Centre. You'll pretty much find what you expect to find in this place, Coop store, farm-foods, wee cafe/bakery, bargain books stand, hardware store etc... Nothing really to write home about but a good amenity for local shoppers none the less. Unless you find yourself in Sunny Govan then there really ain't much of a reason to set sights on this place as the stores here don't offer anything extra in relation to the ones you'll find in your local area.... Oh, i may aswell make mention of the Christmas decorations which were pretty cool and traditional, not these fancy smancy led lights and such.
